CID will see a new ACP after 20 years

Following more than twenty years of portraying the legendary character ACP Pradyuman in CID, Shivaji's role was recently concluded with the character's demise in an episode. Parth is set to take on the role of the new ACP, appearing as ACP Ayushmann in the forthcoming episodes of CID.

Internet not happy about Parth replacing Shivaji's character

In response to this news, one individual commented on X, stating, "I believe it's merely a cameo. ACP Pradyuman will return. Without ACP Pradyuman, there is no CID." Another user expressed skepticism, saying, "What? No way this can be true. Seriously, how can he be the ACP when senior officers like Abhijeet and Daya are present?" A different tweet questioned, "Why can't they just promote Abhijeet? This individual caused Ekta's KZK 2 to fail; no one remembers that show, yet Sony TV thinks he can boost CID's TRPs? Shivaji Ji embodies CID, and CID represents Shivaji Ji. We want SIVAJI SIR back." Another person remarked, "I did not anticipate such a decline regarding the officers in CID."

A fan expressed, "Parth Samanthan is quite young for this role, and no one can surpass our iconic and legendary character, ACP Pradhyuman. The legacy of CID is tied to ACP Pradhyuman. He stated, "Taking on the role of ACP Ayushmann is a significant responsibility, especially as I step into the substantial shoes of ACP Pradyuman. This character is entirely new, and we will advance the narrative with fresh excitement and suspense."
