When asked about the line from TMKOC that people associate him with the most, Dilip shared, “While filming, I came up with the phrase ‘Ae paagal aurat’ on the spot, inspired by Daya’s (Disha Vakani) reaction. There was a moment during the shoot, and the way Dayaben responded made it just come out naturally. Later on, I heard there was some women’s liberation movement happening, and I was advised, ‘From now on, you should never say that in the show again.’”

He continued, “Even though it was never intended to belittle anyone and was meant to be playful, some folks misunderstood it and weren’t fans. So, to this day, that remains my favorite line.”
