Lalit Manchanda, the actor known for his roles in shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Crime Patrol, was discovered dead at his home in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. According to a report from News18, the police have ruled his death a suicide.

The report reveals that Lalit was discovered deceased at his residence on April 21. Local authorities acted quickly after they received a call about the situation. His body was found hanging, and after being taken into custody, it was sent to a local facility for an autopsy. There was no suicide note at the scene, and initial findings indicated no signs of foul play or involvement from others.
Police have started talking to Lalit’s family and close friends as part of their investigation, looking into the circumstances of his death. Since no suicide note was found, they are also considering his mental health and recent life events.
Those who knew him have mentioned that Lalit was facing mental stress and personal issues in the months leading up to his death. More information is expected soon. On Tuesday, CINTAA's official Instagram account posted a message confirming Lalit’s passing: “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012).

According to an NDTV report, Lalit has appeared in a bunch of Bollywood movies and TV shows, mostly in supporting roles. He was recently involved in a web series too. He had a part in the popular comedy series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and was recognized for his role as a dad in DD National's Sevanchal Ki Premkatha. Additionally, he took on significant roles in TV shows like India's Most Wanted, Crime Patrol, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, to name a few.
