Asit Modi, the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has discussed the departures of various cast members from the show in recent years. In an interview with Indian Express, he mentioned that he remains in contact with Gurucharan Singh, who portrayed Roshan Sodhi. Additionally, Modi expressed his commitment to continue producing the show as long as he has the energy to do so.

Reflecting on nearly two decades of managing the show, Asit acknowledged the challenges he has faced. The producer of TMKOC remarked, "Some individuals departed from the show unexpectedly. After COVID, they chose not to continue. For others, I am uncertain about the reasons behind their departure. It has been difficult to keep everyone together for 17 years. I have not easily given up. Each time someone leaves, it pains me... Many have been with us for 15 or 12 years. Some left partway through but later returned, and we welcomed them back, putting the past behind us. My primary concern has always been the show."

Asit spoke about Gurucharan Singh

Asit mentioned that he has encouraged Gurucharan to reach out to him "if there is an issue." He stated, “I am still in contact with a few individuals. The situation with Gurucharanji is unfortunate, and I feel sympathy for him. I have assured him that he can always discuss any problems with me. What purpose would it serve to hold onto resentment?” Gurucharan has been dealing with financial and health challenges since the previous year.

He reappeared at his residence in Delhi in May, explaining that he had been dealing with various personal and professional challenges that prompted him to embark on a "spiritual journey." Earlier this year, he was also hospitalized due to illness, which left him feeling weak.
