Actor Gurucharan Singh, renowned for his portrayal of Roshan Sodhi in the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been admitted to the hospital. On Tuesday, Gurucharan took to Instagram to share a video of himself recuperating in his hospital bed.

Taarak Mehta's Gurucharan Singh hospitalised

In the video, Gurucharan expressed that he was feeling quite unwell. The actor provided a view of his hospital room and directed the camera towards his hand, which displayed a cannula. He was dressed in a yellow and blue shirt and had wrapped himself in a shawl.

What Gurucharan said about his health

The actor commenced the video by stating, "My condition has deteriorated significantly." He subsequently extended his wishes to his fans for Gurpurab. Gurucharan added, "I have undergone blood tests. I will provide you with an update regarding my health shortly. Observe my condition." However, he did not disclose the reason for his hospitalization.

Gurucharan shared the following message: “DHAN DHAN SAHEB SIRI GURU GOBIND SINGH SAHEB MAHARAJ JI DE GURPURAB DIYA LAKH LAKH CRORE CRORE WADHAIYA Ji (folded hands emojis). Yesterday, on Guru Purab, Guru Saheb Ji bestowed upon me a new lease on life, for which I express my gratitude an infinite number of times.”

He further stated, "It is through the grace of Guru Saheb Ji that I stand before you all today. I extend my heartfelt greetings and thanks to everyone. May God protect you, and may Waheguru bless you. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh."

Last year Gurucharan disappeared for weeks

Gurucharan garnered significant media attention in 2024 following his disappearance in April. He reappeared at his residence in Delhi in May, explaining that he had been dealing with various personal and professional challenges, which prompted him to embark on a "spiritual journey."

In April, Gurucharan's worried father lodged a report with the Delhi Police, outlining his son's abrupt absence since he had left for Mumbai. His father indicated that Gurucharan, who had been visiting his parents in Delhi, was anticipated to return to Mumbai but failed to arrive.

During the preliminary investigation, authorities discovered that the actor was managing several bank accounts for financial activities and was regularly utilizing credit cards, despite being in a precarious financial situation.

Gurcharan portrayed the character of Roshan in the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah until 2012. However, he made a return in 2013 in response to the requests of his fans. Ultimately, he departed from the show in 2020, with Balwinder Singh Suri taking over his role.
