Taarak Mehta struggled with his boss earlier this week. The boss hoped to meet Bade Guruji, while Bapuji had agreed to never play that character and get involved in a lie again. What’s worse is that Popatlal also got dragged into the lie. Once the episode ended, Gokuldham society got involved in Diwali celebrations. It all began with the Mahila Mandal setting off the festival vibes with shopping, and Bapuji appreciating them by gifting them all a saree. Here’s a weekly recap of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (available for streaming on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium)…
Taarak Mehta vs boss and Varun
The week of TMKOC commenced with Taarak Mehta's boss hoping to meet Bade Guruji along with Varun. Mehta, stressed about the situation, gets to know that Varun will arrive early. To make matters worse, Varun finds out that Bapuji is Champaklal Gada from Gokuldham society and not Bade Guruji. This is while the boss thinks that Bapuji is Bade Guruji. Thus, now, Mehta cannot introduce Bapuji to Varun as Bade Guruji with the boss in presence.
Popatlal turns new Bade Guruji for Varun
The boss asks Mehta to keep Popatlal away from Varun. As per the situation though, Popatlal has to turn Bade Guruji for Varun. Somehow, Taarak handled the situation, till the boss and Varun found out Bapuji and Popatlal as Bade Guruji together. Somehow, the two handle the situation.
Diwali celebrations begin in Gokuldham society
Once the matter ends, the Diwali celebrations are hinted at with the Mahila Mandal. They meet up at Sunita's stall and question what Bhide is planning for Diwali this year. The Purush Mandali also question Bhide, and Jethalal even pushes the secretary to make Diwali memorable this year.
Bapuji gifts Mahila Mandal sarees as gifts
More recently, Bapuji gifted sarees to the women and Sonu ahead of Diwali. After some resistance, they all agree to take the saree as a gift, thus leaving us with a hint that Diwali will be special this time.
