Bapuji not sure about playing Bade Guruji

Jethalal sits back and watches the TV screen (since nothing plays on TV). On seeing Bapuji, he states that he would turn off the TV and sleep. Jethalal then asks Bapuji instead if he doesn't wish to sleep. To Jethiya's surprise, Bapuji says no.

On inquiring further, Bapuji states that he is unable to sleep because of Jethalal. He is still thinking about the time Jethalal and Mehta approached him to play Bade Guruji. While Bapuji feels Jethalal convinced Mehta to talk to Bapuji, Jethiya clears that it was actually the opposite. That is when Bapuji questions Jethalal further on why didn't he refuse Mehta. Bapuji shuns Jethalal's justiification.

Bapuji refuses to play Bade Guruji even now. Shocked, Jethalal states, "Bapuji!" Champak chacha is still unsure if he can be Bade Guruji for Mehta the next day. Jethalal pleads to Bapuji and states that if he could be, he would be Bade Guruji for Mehta. With that, he jokes about how Bade Guruji turned fatter and younger. Jethalal points out the obvious - that only Bapuji can play Bade Guruji, and since everything is finalized, and thus, he hopes Bapuji stays true to his word.

Jethalal emotionally blackmails Bapuji into playing Bade Guruji

Jethalal reminds Bapuji that if he refuses, then Mehta could lose his job. Bapuji had agreed after listening to the same point. Now, however, Bapuji feels he is wrong in his actions.

Jethalal counters that be reminding Bapuji of his childhood. Bapuji had told baby Jethalal that saying a lie is wrong but if somebody lies to save others, then it is not a lie but a bigger truth than the real truth. Bapuji gets furious on hearing Jethalal twist his words. Jethalal apologizes and states the real saying.

Bapuji's overthinking continues when Jethalal reminds him that Mehta will not lose his job if Bapuji plays Bade Guruji again. Jethalal then emotionally blackmails Bapuji into playing Bade Guruji. He makes Bapuji think about the regret he will feel if Mehta loses his job because Bapuji refused to play Bade Guruji. After some resistance, Bapuji finally agrees to play Bade Guruji.

Taarak Mehta more stressed than ever

At Taarak's house, Anjali wishes him good morning but Mehta is worried since he had another nightmare. The nightmare was about Bapuji ditching him at the last minute. Taarak dreamed that he lost his job. Anjali asks Taarak to think positive and offers him masala chai.

That is when Jethalal arrives at Mehta house and tells him that he's ready to go to Lonavala. Jethalal talks about a big order in Lonavala. Mehta calls him out for leaving his best friend stranded in such a tensed situation. Jethalal confirms that Bapuji has agreed to play Bade Guruji, but Taarak is still stressed about Bapuji walking out last minute.

Jethalal talks about Bapuji's strong commitment, and Mehta talks about Bapuji appearing underconfident about his role in the whole situation. Jethalal accidentally spills how Bapuji backed out last minute the previous night too, thus leaving Taarak more tensed than ever.
