After setting the stage for a new Sonu of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the makers have now introduced the new Sonu. Khushi Mali is the third Sonu on the show and she has been introduced ahead of the Navratri celebrations in Gokuldham society. The same was confirmed through the teaser released as a preview for the next week's episode. The Navratri celebrations were confirmed once Bagha decided to play garba with Bawri, and Natu kaka later mentioned to Bagha about how Navratri celebrations would already have commenced in Gokuldham society and thus, Bagha and Bawri get a free entry to play garba in the society. New Sonu introduced to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
Madhavi and Bhide talk about Sonu. Madhavi states that Sonu went to bring flowers. With that, we are introduced to new Sonu aka Khushi Mali, who has replaced Nidhi Bhanushali in the role.
Sonu disappeared
The last episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah ended with Bhide coming home to a rude shock. Neither his wife Madhavi nor daughter Sonu were at his home, leaving the teacher worried about where they could be. Bhide even went to their neighbours Roshan Singh Sodhis' house, but to no avail. Neither Sonu nor Madhavi had informed the Sodhis about where they would be. Gogi, who is Sonu's immediate friend, had no idea about it either. That is how Sonu disappeared and a new Sonu got introduced to the show. Khushi Mali will be introduced in tomorrow's episode, which also marks a new week for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Sonu was initially played by Jheel Mehta. After she left the show, Nidhi Bhanushali replaced her, who was further replaced by Palak Sindhwani. However, more than a decade later, Palak also quit the show. She left on a traumatising note, for Palak was served legal notice by the makers. Palak also accused producer Asit Kumarr Modi of not helping her out on sets, owing to which she had to work for five days with anxiety attacks. Palak further claimed that Modi threatened to delete her Instagram account overnight. After it all, Palak was out of the show on September 30, and Khushi Mali has replaced her.
