Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah episode 4195 recap: Jethalal refuses to take responsibility for being late for bank work

It was time for Jethalal, Bhide and Iyer to go to bank to deposit Rs. 21 lakhs donated by a stranger. However, as always, Jethalal was running late. On top of that, he refused to take responsibility for it. Here’s what happened in last night’s episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Bhide stressed about Jethalal coming on time for bank work.

Bhide drinks tea, reads the newspaper, and informs Madhavi he is going out for (bank) work - just a usual day in the Bhide house - when Madhavi stops him and asks him to bring lemon. Bhide, who is out to deposit the cheque of Rs. 21 lakhs, refuses to bring Rs. 20 worth lemons. Madhavi questions what his problem is in bringing the lemons on his way back, and Bhide refuses to do so.

He asks Madhavi to send Sonu, stating he is stressed over two things - who paid Rs. 21 lakhs in cheque, and whether Jethalal will come to the society compound on time so that they can deposit the cheque on time. After stating so, he heads out.

Iyer pushes Bhide to Jethalal’s house

Bhide greets Abdul, gets greeted by Iyer, and meets Tapu sena at the Ganesha pandal. They all pray together. He and Iyer head back and question Jethalal's delay. Iyer is especially furious and wants to go to Jethalal's house to question him for his delay in front of their Champak Chacha. While Bhide tries to reason, Iyer pushes him to Jethalal's house.

The two end up meeting their Chachaji at the entrance of the home, and there's confusion about whether Jethalal would accompany them. Iyer and Bhide point out to Bapuji how Jethalal was supposed to join them at 9 am, but at 9.15 am, they had to come to his house instead.

Jethalal believes he isn’t late but on time

On understanding the situation, Bapuji calls out to Jethalal, who promises to reach a place at 10 am while Bhide and Iyer wait for him. Iyer points out the obvious - about Jethalal giving an appointment to someone else. Jethalal clears that he was talking about 10 am the next day.

When Bhide and Iyer point out that Jethalal is 15 minutes late, he scolds them instead and says he's very much on time. Jethalal explains to Bapuji that the manager comes to the bank at 9 am to complete some duties and gets free by 10 am. Jethalal offers everyone tea and asks to leave at 9.30 am, so that they reach at 10 am. Bhide insists to have breakfast and tea on the way, stating that Mumbai traffic cannot be trusted either. Thus, Jethalal finally agrees.

Jethalal asks Bapuji to tag along?

Before leaving, Jethalal says, "Chaliyein Bapuji," thus confusing his father whether he should accompany them. Bhide asks Bapuji if he wishes to join them, and Champak chacha asks what would he do in the bank. Iyer further questions Jethalal about why he wants Bapuji to accompany them. Jethalal refuses so in a loud tone and questions when did he state that he wants to take Bapuji along to the bank.

It was Bapuji and everyone else who confused Jethalal's exit greeting as one where he asked Bapuji to tag along. Jethalal takes Bapuji's blessings before leaving, and Bhide and Iyer do so, too.
