Jethalal and Sunder’s bickering continued on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was one of those moments where Sunder managed to leave Jethalal shocked one moment after another. Sunder, on the other hand, kept giving excuses and was his typical self. The episode commenced with the mysterious Rs. 21 lakhs donation, and led the unusual suspicion on Sunder. Was it him though? Gokuldham society members try to figure who donated Rs 21 lakhs for Ganesh Chaturthi 2024

Jethalal talks to the Gokuldham society members about how the bank people give a chequebook with the name of the person who holds the account. Jethalal points to Iyer that since the cheque doesn't have a name, then the account was just opened. Iyer tells Bhide the same.

Madhavi then points out that the name should be visible via the account number. She wants to go and inquire in the bank, to which Taarak points out that the bank associates do not disclose the names in such a manner.

Babita, in turn, points out how the person wants to keep their identity a secret, and thus, the society members should respect that. Jethalal is floored after hearing her.

Did Sunder donate Rs 21 lakhs?

Just as the Gokuldham society members try to figure out who it could be and Anjali says it would be a rich man that has a lot of faith in the Ganpati Bappa of Gokuldham society, Bhide's phone rings. Sunderlal is on the other side.

Roshan wonders if the cheque is from Sunder's side, thus leaving Jethalal curious. Bhide picks up the call and puts it on speaker. Sunder asks about his surprise, leaving everyone shocked. While others wonder if Sunder is the one to send the cheque, Jethalal is worried that Sunder would have sent it on Jethalal's behalf so that his 'my dear jijaji' can pay the donation amount. Thus, Jethalal takes the phone and confirms if Sunder sent the cheque. Sunder leaves everyone further shocked by stating that he wants to send such a surprise every year. Jethalal has the most epic expression on hearing so, and finally confirms about the cheque for Rs. 21 lakhs. Of course, Sunder has not sent the cheque. He sent the garland for Bappa.

Just as Sunder gets curious about Rs. 21 lakhs and Jethalal cuts him off, Tapu enters Bhide's home and demands Rs. 5120 to pay for the garland that Sunder sent. On hearing that, Jethalal gets furious again. Sunder did not make the payment so that the delivery person arrives on time owing to the COD option. Sunder even refuses to pay Jethalal back, stating it is an opportunity for Jethalal to do good. Hearing this makes Bapuji and Popatlal laugh.

Jethalal thinks to himself how Sunder should have been named Chachundar. After paying, Jethalal finally drops Sunder's call.
