Taarak Mehta vs his boss on Bade Guruji
The week on TMKOC commenced with Taarak Mehta's boss insisting on meeting Bade Guruji. This happens after Bapuji promised to pretend that he was Bade Guruji just to save Mehta once but refuses to do it again. While Taarak promised Bapuji he would handle the situation, there was no way out.
The boss wanted to meet Bade Guruji, and while Taarak initially managed to avoid the meeting, it later came to a point where the meeting could not be avoided no matter how hard he tried.
Taarak, who got happy since his boss was set to leave for Delhi, took his wife out on dates, only to realize that the meeting got cancelled and the boss is in Mumbai. Thus, Taarak's happiness turned to anxious overthinking the situation.
Taarak Mehta thought he was getting a resignation letter, is offered Goa trip instead
Taarak, who was invited to the office, goofed up since he unknowingly informed his boss of his leave of absence. Not just his own leave of absence, Taarak also spilled how he gave an off day to all the employees in the boss' absence. This happened after Taarak thought his nightmare of getting fired from the job was coming true.
Taarak, however, got a Goa trip offer from the boss instead of the resignation letter. This left him pleasantly surprised.
Bapuji agrees to play Bade Guruji, but is still reluctant
Since the boss wishes to meet Bade Guruji anyhow, Taarak takes Jethalal's help in convincing Bapuji. They try to trick Bapuji and first but Taarak realizes that is not possible and thus, he bursts the bubble, only for Bapuji to follow them around with his walking stick to give both the men a good beating.
After hearing that Mehta could lose his job, Bapuji agreed to play Bade Guruji again. But, he is still very anxious about the whole situation, to the point that he cannot sleep. While Bapuji overthinks about giving up on his principles, Jethalal emotionally blackmails his father into playing Bade Guruji the next day.
Taarak Mehta gets anxious that Bapuji will back out last minute
Co-incidentally, Mehta has a nightmare that Bapuji backed out of meeting the boss at the last minute. Owing to that, Taarak felt that he was getting fired from his job. When Mehta tried to inform Jethalal of the situation, his best friend gave him a further scare by stating that Bapuji was 50-50 about playing Bade Guruji but has finally agreed to do so. Now, it's just a matter of time before we know if Bapuji will actually turn up as Bade Guruji in front of the boss again.
