Following his departure, Parth Samthaan was introduced as the new ACP, named Ayushmann. Nevertheless, reports indicate that the original ACP has returned, as Shivaji Satam was spotted back on the CID 2 sets in a behind-the-scenes clip shared by Parth. Parth Samthaan to exit from CID 2?

As According to Filmibeat, CID 2 has been struggling with low performance despite its star-studded cast and compelling storyline, which is why the TRP ratings began to decline from February. The producers implemented several changes, including the departure of Shivaji Satam's ACP Pradyuman from the show, in an effort to introduce a significant twist. They brought in Parth Samthaan as the new ACP Ayushmann. However, these efforts did not yield the desired results.

The source noted, "Parth Samthaan may depart from CID season 2 as the creators are revising their strategies to rejuvenate the show and regain the lost audience. ACP Ayushman might exit when ACP Pradyuman makes a complete return to CID. "

However, the source also mentioned that the channel needs to understand that the availability of CID 2 online (Netflix) and the competition from IPL 2025 have severely affected the viewership of the show.  A few days earlier, Parth Samthaan went on his Instagram Story and posted a behind-the-scenes video that included him and Shivaji Satam from the CID 2 set. In the clip, they were observed shaking hands.

While sharing the video, Parth mentioned, “Filming with ACP Pradyuman, also known as Shivaji Satam, was enjoyable and full of fun. A gem of a person. ”

Meanwhile, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Parth disclosed that he initially turned down the ACP role and mentioned, "I was also uncertain due to the show’s established cast and the necessity for them to call me ‘sir’ on screen. It felt somewhat strange and uncomfortable. "
