Aasif Sheikh Shares Health Update: 'Still Limping After Collapse on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai Set'

Television actor Aasif Sheikh recently fainted on the set of his new film Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain!, causing concern among his fans. He had been filming in Dehradun for a month and collapsed because of sciatic pain. Currently, he is in recovery and unable to put weight on his foot.

I can't put my foot down on the floor

In a recent chat with The Times of India, the actor opened up about his fall, sharing, "It was the second to last day of filming. I had to take strong painkillers to get through the final scenes. Since I couldn't stand or walk, I had to return to Mumbai in a wheelchair. I'm currently on painkillers and steroids, and I have an MRI scheduled for today. I've been resting in bed since I got back to Mumbai. I'm gradually getting better, but I still can't put my foot on the ground and I'm limping."

Aasif is grieving the loss of his friend and fellow writer, Manoj Santosh

In addition to his physical challenges, the actor shared his emotional struggle following the unexpected passing of his friend and writer, Manoj Santoshi. Manoj passed away on Monday from complications related to his liver. "I lost a really good friend. My bond with Manoj Santoshi goes back many years. He was incredibly talented and a fantastic writer. His absence has created a significant void in my life," the actor expressed.

He kicked off his journey with Hum Log and has gained fame for his performances in popular shows like Yes Boss, Dill Mill Gayye, and Chidiya Ghar. Besides his television work, he has also featured in a number of Bollywood movies, such as Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Jodi No.1, Karan Arjun, Ek Phool Teen Kante, and Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, among others.
