The use of Artificial Intelligence in creative fields, particularly in art creation, has sparked significant discussion worldwide, especially on social media platforms. In the midst of this excitement, a video director from Berlin shared a hyper-realistic advertisement for the Mini Cooper SE on Instagram.

Simon Meyer, who identifies as an ‘A.I. Researcher and Creator,’ disclosed the precise methods he employed to produce his AI-generated work of art. The video concludes with a highly realistic ‘Behind the Scenes’ segment, also crafted using various AI technologies.

The advertisement was produced on the director's Macbook Air within a mere three days. Meyer noted that he needed to capture several video and image shots of the vehicle to train the AI model, ensuring the car appeared consistent across all visuals. The vehicle images were generated using Krea AI. He emphasized that this project was neither sponsored nor endorsed by any entity and was solely intended to explore the capabilities of generative AI for research purposes.

The Mini Cooper SE was introduced to the Indian market in 2022, priced at ₹47.20 lakh (ex-showroom) as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). This two-door hatchback marked the manufacturer’s inaugural all-electric vehicle, boasting a range of 270 km on a single charge. While it shares a similar design with the gasoline-powered Mini Cooper, it is 145 kg heavier due to its battery pack.

Equipped with a 32.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor, the Mini Cooper SE generates 181 bhp and 270 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds, with a top speed of 150 km/h. Thanks to fast-charging capabilities, it can achieve an 80 percent charge in 2.5 hours using an 11 kW charger, or in just 36 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger.
