OpenAI releases Tasks, ChatGPTs latest feature that can set reminders and schedule tasks
2 months ago | 5 Views
OpenAI is making waves with a new feature for ChatGPT, marking what they call the first move towards “Agentic AI.” This feature, named ‘Tasks,’ lets users set reminders and recurring actions for a more tailored experience. Right now, it’s in beta and only available to Plus, Pro, and Teams users. Here’s the scoop on the new Tasks feature and how it operates.
ChatGPT Tasks: What It Can Do
In the ChatGPT app, you can tell ChatGPT to remind you to hit the gym every morning and share some motivational quotes. It’ll automatically set up a task for you, and when the time you chose rolls around, it’ll ping your phone to nudge you to work out or finish any other task you’ve mentioned.
Plus, if you check out the profile menu, you can have ChatGPT schedule tasks for you. For instance, you could ask for a weekly global news summary every Saturday, get a custom meal plan, or set up other reminders.
Overall, people online seem to think these features are just the beginning of moving from generative AI to AgentTech AI.
ChatGPT Tasks: Availability and Launch Information
Right now, the ChatGPT Tasks feature is only available for paid users. Sadly, those on the free plan can’t access it yet since it’s currently exclusive to Plus, Pro, and Teams users during the beta phase. But here’s the bright side: OpenAI has mentioned that this feature will eventually be available to all ChatGPT accounts.
If you’re eager to give it a shot, you can sign up for ChatGPT Plus for ₹1,950 a month, and that’ll get you immediate access to ChatGPT Tasks.
