Apple's autumn product lineup has proven to be quite dynamic, highlighted by a September event that introduced a series of new launches, culminating in the release of the iPad mini 7 in mid-October. In conjunction with these new announcements, the company has opted to discontinue several older products, rendering them unavailable for purchase through the Apple Store. Although these devices can no longer be acquired directly from Apple, third-party retailers continue to provide discounts on previous-generation products.

Here are the key products that Apple has discontinued:

1. iPad mini 6

Apple unveiled the iPad mini 7 in October, featuring enhancements such as Apple Intelligence, compatibility with the Apple Pencil Pro, and a resolution to the jelly scrolling problem. Given these new attributes, there is minimal incentive to choose the previous iPad mini 6, which is not currently offered at any significant discounts. The retail price for the iPad mini 7 is set at $459.

2. FineWoven iPhone Cases

Apple's FineWoven iPhone cases were presented as a sustainable substitute for leather; however, they did not live up to consumer expectations because of their susceptibility to scratches. As a result, these cases have been phased out for the iPhone 16 models, although FineWoven MagSafe wallets and Apple Watch bands remain on the market. Online, there are still some offers for FineWoven cases compatible with the iPhone 15, including a $29 option for the iPhone 15 Plus.

3. M3 MacBook Pro

Apple introduced the latest M4 MacBook Pro models featuring improved performance in late October, resulting in the phasing out of the M3 MacBook Pro. However, promotions for the M3 models remain accessible, including a $1299 deal for the base model at Best Buy.

4. M2 Mac mini

The recent redesign of the Mac mini in October, which includes M4 and M4 Pro chipsets along with enhanced RAM options, has rendered the earlier M2 Mac mini model obsolete. Although there are currently no notable discounts for the M2 model, the M4 Mac mini is available for purchase on Amazon at $579.

5. M3 iMac

Apple has enhanced the iMac by incorporating the M4 chip, which provides improved performance and new features. Consequently, the M3 iMac has been phased out; however, there are still some promotions available for the M3 model. The current M4 version is available for $1199 following a discount.

6. iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max

Apple has followed its usual practice of discontinuing the iPhone 15 Pro models to make way for the iPhone 16 series. However, refurbished options remain accessible, including a 128GB iPhone 15 Pro priced at $725 and a 256GB iPhone 15 Pro Max available for $864 on Amazon.

7. iPhone 13

The iPhone 13, launched in 2021, experienced a price reduction before its discontinuation. Refurbished models remain accessible, with prices beginning at $372 for an unlocked unit in excellent condition.

8. Lightning Magic Accessories

Apple has shifted its Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard to USB-C, ceasing production of the Lightning versions. Nevertheless, there are still some discounts available on the previous Lightning accessories, including a $20 reduction on the Magic Trackpad.

9. Apple Watch Series 9

The Apple Watch Series 9 has been phased out after the introduction of the slimmer Series 10. Although there are promotions for the Series 9, the Series 10 is considered a superior choice, with a starting price of $329.

10. Lightning AirPods

Apple has phased out the remaining AirPods models that featured Lightning ports, which include AirPods 2, AirPods 3, and AirPods Max. The new AirPods 4, equipped with noise cancellation technology, are offered at a starting price of $119, while the USB-C variant of AirPods Pro 2 is available for $189.

Although these discontinued models are no longer sold directly by Apple, consumers may still find deals on earlier generations through third-party retailers.
