India's spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has taken to his Instagram stories to ask fans to steer clear of the recent rumors about his personal life. There have been whispers about a possible divorce between him and his wife, Dhanashree Verma.

In his detailed post, Chahal didn't mention Verma or their relationship directly. He expressed that “some social media posts speculating on things that may or may not be accurate” have brought “immense pain” to him and his family.

"I truly appreciate all my fans for their constant love and support, which has been crucial in my journey. But this journey is far from finished! There are still many amazing OVERS left for me to play for my country, my team, and my fans! While I take pride in being a sportsman, I’m also a Son, a Brother, and a Friend. I get that people are curious about recent happenings, especially regarding my personal life. However, I’ve seen some social media posts speculating on things that might not be true," Chahal shared.

“As a Son, a Brother, and a Friend, I kindly ask everyone not to engage in these speculations, as they have caused significant pain to my family and me. My family values have always taught me to wish well for everyone, to work hard for success instead of taking shortcuts, and I’m committed to those principles. With Divine Blessings, I will always seek your love and support, not sympathy,” he wrapped up.

Chahal's comments came just a few hours after Verma addressed the rumors and criticized the "character assassination" she was enduring from "faceless trolls spreading hate."

"The last few days have been really challenging for my family and me. What really gets to me is the unfounded claims, lacking any fact-checking, and the attack on my character by anonymous trolls spreading negativity.

"I've put in a lot of effort over the years to establish my name and integrity. My choice to stay quiet isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength. While negativity can spread like wildfire online, it takes real courage and kindness to lift others up," she shared.
