Virat Kohli expressed immense joy following his second Champions Trophy victory, fully immersing himself in the celebrations. Although the 36-year-old refrained from replicating his iconic 'Gangnam Style' dance from twelve years ago, he embraced his role as a senior player while enjoying the festivities with the younger members of the team.

The former captain was observed engaging in garba dance steps alongside current captain Rohit Sharma, both of them holding stumps in their hands. The two cricketing icons posed for photographs together after their triumph. Additionally, a video that gained significant traction on social media showcased Kohli playfully pouring champagne over Rishabh Pant after the team captured an official photograph with the trophy. In a lighthearted moment, while Kohli was celebrating with Pant, another young player, Harshit Rana, surprised the former captain from behind and doused him with champagne.

Kohli addressed the doubts surrounding his recent struggles in Test cricket by scoring an unbeaten century against his longstanding rivals, Pakistan. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the semi-final against Australia, contributing 84 runs that led to another successful chase for India. Conversely, Pant remained on the sidelines, not participating in any matches during the tournament. Rana showcased his bowling skills in the initial two games; however, he was subsequently replaced to allow Varun Chakaravarthy an opportunity to implement a four-spin strategy.

‘We learned from past experiences’: Virat Kohli

Following their victory in the Champions Trophy, Kohli acknowledged that the Indian team had gained valuable insights from previous challenging defeats in ICC knockout matches, which ultimately contributed to securing their second significant title within a span of less than a year.

"It has been quite some time since we last held the Champions Trophy, and the format is quite favourable. This was our objective. After a difficult tour in Australia, we arrived here and triumphed in a major tournament, which has once again enhanced our confidence as a team," Kohli conveyed to the host broadcaster.

The 36-year-old expressed admiration for the team's collective performance throughout the tournament.

"Throughout the tournament, various players rose to the occasion in different matches. There were instances in earlier tournaments where we failed to close out games or take advantage of critical situations. However, this time, we have learned from those past experiences," he remarked.
