Virat Kohli achieved yet another significant milestone on Sunday as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru extended their winning streak away from home. RCB triumphed over the Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, with Kohli contributing an impressive unbeaten 62 runs off 45 balls, marking his third half-century in the ongoing IPL 2025.

Following the match, while Kohli was engaged in a discussion with Rajasthan Royals player Yashasvi Jaiswal, team batting coach Vikram Rathour, and RCB bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he noticed a fan had breached the pitch in Jaipur, attempting to approach him. In a manner reminiscent of MS Dhoni, Kohli discreetly slipped away behind the other players, leaving the fan bewildered about his location, before security personnel intervened and escorted the individual off the field.

It is worth mentioning that Dhoni had a similar encounter in 2019 during an ODI match in Nagpur against Australia, where he led a pitch invader, who merely wished to shake hands with the former India captain, on a brief chase before allowing him to touch his feet.

This incident marked the second occasion this season that a fan had crossed security measures to meet Kohli, the first occurring during the tournament opener last month at Eden Gardens when RCB faced the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders.

Record knock for Kohli

The Kohli's half-century against Rajasthan marked his 100th fifty in T20 cricket, making him the first Asian player to achieve this milestone. He currently ranks second on the all-time list for the most T20 fifties, trailing only Australia's David Warner, who has 108 fifties in 400 matches. This achievement also brought Kohli to a tie with Warner, as it was his 66th fifty in the T20 tournament.

While Kohli remained not out, Phil Salt played a pivotal role for RCB during the chase, scoring 65 runs off 33 balls before Kohli took over to guide the team to victory.

This victory marked RCB's fourth win in six matches, propelling them into the top four of the 10-team standings. Conversely, the inaugural champions, Rajasthan, faced their fourth defeat in six games.
