Virat Kohli Clashes with Khaleel Ahmed Post-Match; CSK Pacer Left Shaken: ‘Bhaiyya, Bowling Toh…’

The intense encounter between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru saw a moment of tension as Virat Kohli expressed his irritation towards opposition bowler Khaleel Ahmed. During the traditional post-match handshake, Kohli made his feelings known by briefly conversing with the left-arm pacer before pushing him away.
For Chennai Super Kings, it was a disappointing evening, marking their first defeat at Chepauk to RCB since the league's inception in 2008. The visitors asserted their dominance in the Southern derby, leaving little opportunity for the home team to recover.
CSK won the toss and opted to bowl first at Chepauk, with Kohli opening the batting for RCB and Khaleel taking the new ball for Chennai. Early in the innings, Khaleel delivered a bouncer aimed at the RCB star and approached him during his follow-through, prompting Kohli to respond with a fierce glare.
After the match, players from both teams exchanged handshakes, and during this interaction, Kohli confronted Khaleel, voicing his frustration. Khaleel responded, saying, “Bhaiyya bowling toh karrne do dhang se (let me bowl properly).” Former CSK captain MS Dhoni observed the exchange closely, positioned right behind Kohli as the post-match handshake took place.
Following that, the two players engaged in a conversation, with Khaleel approaching Kohli while he was conversing with Ravindra Jadeja. The RCB star appeared quite expressive, while Khaleel sought to share his perspective on the matter as well.
Earlier, Kohli found it tough to get going on a sluggish Chepauk surface and scored 31 runs off 30 balls on Friday, while Khaleel had an economical night with the ball as he claimed a wicket for 28 runs in his four overs.
RCB outclass CSK at Chepuak
Thanks to Rajat Patidar's half-century and valuable contributions from other players, RCB managed to set a challenging target of 196/7. They effectively applied pressure on CSK with early wickets, leading the five-time champions to falter without much resistance, finishing at 146/8.
Patidar was given three chances by the CSK fielders, and he capitalized on these opportunities to score 51 runs off 32 deliveries, including four fours and three sixes. His performance provided crucial momentum during the middle overs, while Tim David's late surge of 22 runs off just 8 balls helped recover from a dip in scoring.
