The couple enjoyed a tender moment together before Kohli was called to participate in the post-match presentation ceremony.

ICC chairperson Jay Shah awarded the triumphant Indian team with special winners' medals, while BCCI president Roger Binny distributed distinctive white jackets to each player. Subsequently, Rohit Sharma received the Champions Trophy from Jay Shah as the team commenced their celebrations. However, Kohli's thoughts remained with Anushka.

He hurried back to her, proudly displaying the medal and jacket. This time, Anushka affectionately rubbed his head and playfully tousled his hair.

Kohli conveyed his satisfaction with the Men in Blue's victory and the performances of several team members, notably Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, and Shreyas Iyer, asserting that the team is "prepared to face the world for the next eight years."

"I believe we possess a squad that is equipped to take on the world for the next eight years," Kohli remarked during the post-match ceremony.

India clinched their third ICC Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in a thrilling final held at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. This triumph signifies India's second consecutive victory in white-ball tournaments.

The final showcased exceptional performances from various players, particularly Varun Charkavarthy, captain Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul.

In his remarks following the match, Virat stated, "It has been remarkable; we aimed to rebound after a challenging tour in Australia (Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25) and aspired to secure a significant tournament victory, so winning the Champions Trophy is truly fantastic."

Virat praised Shubman and Shreyas for their impressive innings during the tournament, acknowledged KL for adapting to the finisher's role, and commended Hardik for his contributions with the bat.

"Shubman has been exceptional, Shreyas has delivered some outstanding performances, KL has successfully finished matches, and Hardik has excelled with the bat," he noted.
