After their astonishing win of 5-1 against Scotland at the opening match of the 17th UEFA European Championship 2024 at Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany won their second match against Hungary 2-0 on June 19 at Stuttgart Arena. With Jamal Musiala and Ilkay Gundogan’s team scoring one goal each, Julian Nagelsmann’s team secured a comfortable victory and, hence also secured the top position of Group A.

In their second match, Musiala took 22 minutes to score the first goal. This is his second goal in the tournament as he mesmerised everyone in the match with his class football. Team captain Gundogan secured the ball in Hungary’s net in the 67th minute. This ensured the victory for Germany.

In India, Sony Sports Network will broadcast the matches and the Euro 2024 will also stream live on SonyLiv. You can catch them with OTTplay Premium.

Germany could not win any of the last three matches against Hungary. In fact, the latter created pressure in the initial minutes. However, it is the gang of Musiala, Florian Wirtz, Kai Havertz, and others who ensure their victory.

With their win, Germany gets back on track to break their poor performance ever since their World Cup win in 2014. In the 2018 and 2022 World Cup, Germany failed to cross the group league hurdle. Their performance in the Euro remained the same. In 2016, Germany lost to France in the semi-final. In 2020, they were defeated in the knockout stage.

In another match, Scotland drew with Switzerland and bagged a point that kept their UEFA European Championship 2024 dream alive
