Travis Head, the star batter, has shared an update on his fitness after he seemed to have a tough time during Australia's second innings at the Gabba. He's been on fire in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, racking up a couple of centuries and making life difficult for the visitors, who haven't quite figured out how to get him out. So far, he's scored 409 runs with an impressive average of 81.80 in this series, but he didn't manage to make a big impact in the second innings in Brisbane. Commentators noticed he might have been dealing with some groin discomfort while running.

Head acknowledged that he's feeling a bit sore but is confident he'll be "fine" for the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

"I'm really happy with how I'm batting right now. Just a bit sore, but I should be good to go for the next match," said Head, who was named player of the match after the game.

The five-match series is all square at 1-1 heading into the Boxing Day Test after the last match ended in a draw.

Ex-pacer Brett Lee pointed out some "worrying signs" in the footage, highlighting Head's restricted movement. Meanwhile, former India coach Ravi Shastri shared his worries, calling the possible injury a "body blow" for Australia.

Head sat out during India's second innings, which only added to the speculation.

"Travis will be alright. It's just a tight quad. He'll be good to go for Melbourne," his captain Pat Cummins reassured.

The left-handed batsman shared his thoughts on his strategy during the series, crediting his success to his ability to adjust to tough conditions and maintain his cool at the crease.

He also discussed his batting style, emphasizing that he prefers to be flexible and has various strategies to thrive while batting.

"It was a tricky pitch. I had to shift my approach as I went along. I had several plans in mind, and I'm glad I managed to execute them. Partnering with (Steve) Smith was great," he mentioned about their centuries, which helped them build a huge 241-run partnership.

Travis Head stated, "I've really nailed reading the conditions this series."

Head also mentioned his batting partnership with Smith, who seemed to find his groove again, allowing for a more relaxed approach at the crease.

"I focus on reading the conditions accurately. Throughout this series, I've done a good job of that. I'm happy with the pace I've been batting at. Our communication has been pretty chill. It felt like he was back to his usual self, and he gives me the freedom and confidence to play my game, knowing he’ll be around for a while. I’m just trying to play the situation as it unfolds," he said.
