The International Masters League 2025 came to a close on Sunday, with the India Masters, captained by Sachin Tendulkar, claiming the championship by defeating the West Indies Masters by six wickets in a crucial final held in Raipur. The match saw heightened emotions as Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best engaged in a confrontation on the field, exchanging heated remarks.
The situation escalated, prompting West Indies Masters captain Brian Lara to step in and separate the two players. Ambati Rayudu was also observed encouraging Tino Best to remain composed during the altercation.
The incident began when Tino Best finished his over and expressed a desire to leave the field due to a potential injury. Yuvraj Singh raised the matter with the umpire, leading Billy Bowden to likely instruct Best to return to play.
This decision did not sit well with the West Indies fast bowler, who approached Yuvraj Singh aggressively. The two players confronted each other, neither willing to back down, and continued their verbal exchange.
Darren Gough, a former England fast bowler and commentator, remarked, "He (Tino Best) is not one to shy away from a challenge. He enjoys engaging in conversation. When you have two players who refuse to relent, conflicts are bound to arise."
Soon after, Yuvraj Singh took the strike and hit a massive six. Immediately after, he was seen pointing his bat at Tino Best. This scene reminded everyone of the inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup, where Yuvraj hit 6 sixes in Stuart Broad's over. These six maximums came after Yuvraj's heated verbal exchange with Andrew Flintoff.
However, soon after, Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best patched up during the second strategic time-out. The southpaw Yuvraj was seen playfully patting Tino Best's back.
