Suryakumar Yadav maintained his outstanding form with the bat as Mumbai Indians achieved a decisive 7-wicket victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The MI star player scored an unbeaten 40 off only 19 balls to simplify the chase for his team as the five-time champions successfully pursued the target with 26 balls remaining. He dedicated the victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad to his wife, Devisha Shetty, who traveled from Mumbai to support him and the team.

Surya expressed that she was not meant to attend the game, but upon discovering that she was present, he felt it was essential to win for her.

"She has come down from Mumbai, so what more could I ask for? That’s a happier moment. She wasn't supposed to come for the game, but she was here, so we had to clinch the win. She couldn’t find a place (bakery), but I am confident she has prepared something special for me tonight," Surya shared with the broadcasters.

Mumbai Indians have recovered after a shaky start and have climbed to the third position on the points table with five victories in nine matches.

Suryakumar was straightforward with his insights when discussing Mumbai's fourth consecutive win on Wednesday.

"I believe it was crucial to come out with a positive outlook as we were playing quality cricket and needed to maintain the momentum; winning four games in a row feels fantastic," he remarked.

FormerMI captain Rohit Sharma also maintained his outstanding form by scoring consecutive fifties. He made 70 runs off 46 balls, featuring 8 fours and 3 sixes.

Surya also acknowledged Rohit for simplifying his role when he went out to bat as the pair put together a 53-run partnership for the third wicket.

 “He made my job significantly easier; I simply had to bat with a good tempo, and him scoring runs is a really positive indication for the team,” he mentioned.
