Messi attended the Super Bowl at the stadium in New Orleans alongside Inter Miami teammates Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suarez. The group was there to witness the Super Bowl clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Although the players are currently engaged in Inter Miami's preseason tour across North and South America, they still found time to attend this significant sporting event, which also featured other celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Serena Williams. The Inter Miami stars were situated in the VIP box.

The Philadelphia Eagles secured a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, marking their third consecutive Super Bowl championship.

Messi's new MLS season is set to commence on February 22, and the Argentine aims to secure the title this year. Last season, Miami led the standings during the regular season but faced elimination in the first round of the playoffs.

Additionally, Miami has appointed a new manager for the upcoming season, bringing in former Barcelona and Argentina star Javier Mascherano. Mascherano has previously played alongside Messi, Suarez, Busquets, and Alba at the club level, as well as with Messi on the international stage.

Regarding his new role, Mascherano stated to Goal, “I made it clear that I won’t enter the dressing room and pretend we are not friends. I told Jorge Mas, Leo, and the others that I will not compromise the relationships I have built with them over the years for a job. That is not my character.”

“It is an honor to coach Messi and players of such high caliber like Luis, Busi, Jordi, and others I have had the pleasure of knowing, particularly the Argentines, along with some promising young academy players like Noah Allen and David Ruiz. Having worked with youth players for an extended period, I look forward to continuing this opportunity,” he added.
