The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the men's central contracts list for the 2024-25 season on Monday. Notable players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah have been classified in the Grade A+ category, while Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have returned to the central contracts list.

Shreyas Iyer is assigned to the B category, whereas Ishan Kishan falls under the C category. Both players lost their central contracts last year after the domestic cricket captaincy changes.

Shreyas Iyer missed the Ranji Trophy match in February 2024 due to an injury concern, while Ishan Kishan chose to withdraw from the Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand after taking a brief hiatus from competitive play.

For those unfamiliar, the BCCI's policy states that cricketers who participate in at least three Tests, eight ODIs, or ten T20Is within a designated timeframe are automatically placed in Grade C on a pro-rata basis.

The BCCI compensates Grade A+ players with an annual salary of INR 7 crore, while Grade A players receive INR 5 crore. Grade B cricketers earn INR 3 crore, and those in Grade C receive INR 1 crore each.

Varun Chakravarthy has joined the BCCI's central contracts list following his impressive performance in the ICC Men's Champions Trophy. Ravichandran Ashwin has been removed from the list after his retirement from international cricket in December 2024.

Additionally, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Abhishek Sharma have secured their first BCCI central contracts. Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, Jitesh Sharma, and KS Bharat have been omitted from the central contracts list for the 2024-25 season.

Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India's T20I team, is categorized in Grade B, while prominent all-rounder Hardik Pandya is in Grade A, alongside Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant.

Rishabh Pant has been elevated from Grade B to Grade A.

Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal and all-rounder Axar Patel are also included in the Grade.

Grade A+: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

Grade A: Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant.

Grade B: Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer.

Grade C: Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Harshit Rana.
