Shreyas Iyer experienced immense joy following India's victory in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday, showcasing remarkable dance moves upon receiving the trophy. He played a crucial role in India's impressive title journey, amassing a total of 243 runs, which ranked as the second highest in the tournament. His contributions included two half-centuries, along with a vital 48-run innings in the final match, where he helped stabilize the Indian batting order after the dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

In the aftermath of the victory, Iyer celebrated by dancing in front of the Champions board, with photographers poised to immortalize the moment. His dance performance evoked memories of Virat Kohli's memorable 'Gangnam Style' routine during the 2013 Champions Trophy celebration. At that time, Kohli was one of the younger players on the team, whereas in the 2025 victory, Iyer had already earned the status of a 'legend.'

Iyer experienced his inaugural participation in India's ICC-title-winning team, leaving him at a loss for words following the victory in the Champions Trophy.

"I am truly ecstatic; it is beyond description and difficult to articulate. This is my first ICC trophy, and I am quite overwhelmed as I look around at everyone in the dressing room. The manner in which we approached this tournament and our progression has been remarkable," Iyer conveyed to the broadcasters.

Rohit Sharma played a pivotal role in leading India to victory, scoring 76 runs off 83 balls, while Iyer contributed 48 runs and Rahul remained not out with 34 runs. This collective effort enabled India to achieve a total of 254-6 in 49 overs, securing their third Champions Trophy title.

The 30-year-old exhibited remarkable composure throughout the tournament, often rescuing India from challenging situations. The team remained unbeaten, achieving victories against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand in the group stage, followed by a win over Australia in the semifinal.

"I genuinely thrive under pressure; I find that I perform best when faced with challenges. Although I have had strong starts in this tournament, I have not converted them into larger scores. Nevertheless, contributing to the team's success is what truly matters to me, and it brings me immense satisfaction," he remarked.
