Former cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that India should not approach their upcoming match against Australia with a mindset of seeking revenge for the disappointment experienced during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Instead, he emphasizes the importance of focusing on altering the outcome in the Champions Trophy semifinal. India faced a devastating loss at home on November 19, 2023, after having performed strongly throughout the league stage of the World Cup. They are set to confront Australia once more, this time at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

In the final of the 2023 World Cup, Australia triumphed over India by six wickets, largely due to Travis Head's remarkable unbeaten score of 137 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India has once again entered the ICC event with an unbeaten record, facing an Australian team that will be missing key players such as Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc.

Chopra reflected on the lingering pain from the defeat in the 2023 ODI World Cup final and proposed an unconventional strategy to prevent Head from delivering another significant performance. He also raised the question of whether India should consider changing their jersey color from blue. "The anguish from the events of November 19, 2023, still resonates. Our goal should not be revenge but rather to secure a different result. Can we capitalize on the conditions at the Dubai pitch, given our success in the previous three matches, while Australia has only managed one victory to reach this stage? However, the challenge remains: who will contain Travis Head? Should we consider altering our jersey color from blue to something else?" Chopra stated on his YouTube channel.

Head also scored a century in the final of the 2023 World Test Championship, further establishing himself as a formidable opponent for Rohit Sharma and his team.

Chopra mentioned that he would refrain from wearing blue on Tuesday and proposed a strategy to dismiss Head early, urging Rohit Sharma and the bowlers to adopt a more proactive approach.

"I have decided that I won't wear blue. I will wear black clothes and go. However, how to stop Travis Head? Firstly, bowl around the stump and close to him. Try bouncers at the start and bring spin without wasting any time. Proactivity is needed here," he observed.
