Sanju Samson, the renowned cricketer, is a figure well-known in the realm of Indian cricket. As one of the premier wicketkeeper-batters in the country, he has established himself as the preferred choice for both wicketkeeping and opening batting in T20 Internationals, particularly following his impressive performances in South Africa, which positioned him ahead of Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan in this format. However, Samson's talents extend beyond his remarkable batting and fielding skills. On the evening of January 20, his supporters were treated to a different facet of his personality when he performed a popular Bollywood song in the company of his teammates.

Samson delivered a rendition of "Pahla Nasha" from the iconic 1992 film "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar," much to the enjoyment of his fellow Indian cricketers, just prior to the first T20I match against England in Kolkata. He was joined by former Indian all-rounder and current assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, and together they engaged in what seemed to be a team-building activity ahead of the five-match T20I series.

Samson shared a video of this performance on Instagram, captioning it, "Nothing is impossible!!! Njan paadi Mein Mumbai aa sakta hu?" The phrase "Main Mumbai aa sakta hu?" references a well-known Indian television talent show, Indian Idol, where contestants are invited to "come to Mumbai" for the main competition after successfully passing their auditions in various cities.

Samson's vocal performance, particularly his creative caption, captured the attention of India's T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav. In a lighthearted manner, Surya chose to tease his teammate by remarking, "You are coming to Mumbai, but only after auditions in Chennai, Rajkot, and Pune."

This clever comment from Surya alluded to India's upcoming series of five T20Is against England. The first match is scheduled to take place in England on January 22, followed by matches in Chennai (2nd T20I), Rajkot (3rd T20I), Pune (4th T20I), and concluding with the fifth and final T20I in Mumbai on February 2.

Suryakumar Yadav's comment on Sanju Samson's post

Samson, who was removed from Kerala's Ranji Trophy squad following his inclusion in India's T20I team, has the opportunity to participate in the knockout stage for Kerala. The state team is currently in second place within the group, trailing leaders Haryana by 18 points, who have accumulated 20 points.

Additionally, Samson was not chosen to represent Kerala in the recent Vijay Hazare Trophy due to his absence from a three-day training camp prior to the tournament.

This absence also contributed to his exclusion from India's ODI squad for the series against England and the Champions Trophy, despite his impressive century against South Africa in Paarl late last year.

Sachin Baby will serve as the captain for Kerala, and middle-order batsman Vishnu Vinod, who was omitted after the second match, has been reinstated in the 15-member squad.
