Shoaib Malik's spouse, Sana Javed, has recently encountered significant criticism on social media due to her contentious remarks made during a television appearance alongside Pakistan cricketer Sarfaraz Ahmed. The Pakistani actress was a guest on a show featuring the former captain of the national team.

In one segment, Sarfaraz mentioned his preference for facing slower deliveries, prompting Sana to mock him by stating, “You’re speaking as if someone has wound you up like a toy,” while displaying exaggerated facial expressions.

In reply, the wicketkeeper-batter remarked, “I played where I was supposed to.”

Sana humorously added, “I can play however I want with my husband,” but this comment did not resonate well with the audience.

Viewers took to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their disapproval of Javed's comments towards Sarfaraz. Many criticized her for being disrespectful and perceived her behaviour as unnecessarily harsh.

In 2020, she wed singer Umair Jaswal in a private Nikah ceremony held in Karachi, as reported. However, the couple separated in 2023, and Sana subsequently married Shoaib, a former Pakistani cricketer. It is reported that they had been in a relationship for nearly three years before tying the knot.

Reports indicate that Shoaib's previous marriage to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza ended after it was disclosed that he was involved with Sana. Their relationship became public later on, and they shared their wedding photos on social media on January 20, 2024. Shoaib and Sania have a son named Izhaan Mirza Malik, who was born in 2018. The couple announced their divorce in January 2024.
