Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan have conveyed their admiration for a young girl's bowling technique in a touching interaction on social media. Tendulkar posted a video on X, showcasing a slow-motion clip of the girl's remarkably fluid bowling action, while tagging his former teammate Zaheer.
In his post, Tendulkar identified the girl as Sushila Meena, stating, “Smooth, effortless, and delightful to observe! Sushila Meena’s bowling action bears resemblance to yours, @ImZaheer. Do you notice it as well?” Zaheer responded by sharing the post and remarked, “You are absolutely correct, and I wholeheartedly agree. Her action is incredibly smooth and impressive—she is already demonstrating significant potential!” As reported by the Times of India, the young girl is from a village in Rajasthan.
Here are Tendulkar and Zaheer's posts:
Zaheer and Tendulkar are set to participate in the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tendulkar has been associated with the Mumbai Indians since the franchise's establishment, serving as a mentor. In contrast, Zaheer will assume a similar role with the Lucknow Super Giants. He has expressed his intention to take on additional responsibilities as a bowling coach within the team. The 46-year-old previously worked with the Mumbai Indians from 2018 to 2022, initially as the director of cricket and later as the head of global development. Before this, he played for three IPL franchises: Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Delhi Daredevils.
Throughout his career, Zaheer was the leading fast bowler for India during a period when the nation faced challenges in producing elite pace talent. He played a crucial role in securing India's triumph in the 2011 World Cup. Zaheer made his international debut in an ODI against Kenya in October 2000. In total, he participated in 92 Test matches, claiming 311 wickets, and played 200 ODIs, taking 282 wickets, along with 17 wickets in 17 T20 internationals.
