Rohit and Cummins Share a Laugh Over Ravi Shastri's Entertaining Toss Commentary

India's captain Rohit Sharma is well-acquainted with the playful antics of Ravi Shastri. Having shared the dressing room with him for four years during Shastri's tenure as head coach of Team India from 2017 to 2021, Rohit has witnessed his exuberance firsthand. However, even he found it difficult to suppress his laughter at Shastri's lively performance during the toss of the day-night Test match between India and Australia in Adelaide.

As Shastri animatedly waved his left hand and declared, "It's the pink ball Test, the second in the series between India and Australia, and it's time for the toss..." Rohit could no longer contain his amusement. He exchanged a brief glance with match referee Ranjan Madugalle before bursting into genuine laughter.

Rohit's unrestrained laughter prompted a broad smile from his Australian counterpart, Pat Cummins, who also found the moment amusing.

Rohit and Cummins appeared to be in high spirits during the toss; however, by the end of the day's play, it was the Australian captain who left with a more pronounced smile. Following a significant defeat in the first Test in Perth by a staggering 295 runs, Australia made a strong comeback in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, showcasing an impressive performance on the opening day at the Adelaide Oval.

Australia concluded the first day of the pink-ball Test on Friday by scoring 86 runs for the loss of one wicket in their first innings, following India's dismissal for 180 runs.

At the close of play, Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne were at the crease, having scored 38 and 20 runs, respectively, after 33 overs. The home team trails by 94 runs.

Earlier, India was all out for 180 runs by the time dinner was called, having batted for 44.12 overs. The visitors lost four wickets in the first session and six in the second after choosing to bat first.
