India and Pakistan found themselves in a tense showdown at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with Pakistan's middle order taking their time in a crucial match for the ICC Champions Trophy. On a scorching day in the UAE, India’s senior players seized moments to escape the heat and rest their legs, trying to conserve their energy.

Among them was India’s captain Rohit Sharma, who stepped off the field during the 15th over. Fans noticed him stretching and checking on his legs, sparking concerns about a possible injury.

Luckily, Rohit returned to the field shortly after, ready to resume his captaincy duties.

During Rohit’s short break, Shubman Gill took over as the stand-in captain for the Indian team, marking his first time in this role after being named vice-captain before the Champions Trophy.

The sweltering heat in Dubai, with temperatures soaring to 32 degrees Celsius and humidity at 41%, was likely a factor in Rohit’s decision to take a breather.

Kohli also enjoys some downtime away from the game

A few players from the Indian team, including Rohit, decided to step off the field for different reasons. Mohammed Shami seemed a bit off at the start of his spell and left after just three overs to get some treatment. Luckily, he came back later in the innings and looked much better while bowling.

Harshit Rana also took a short break after his initial spell, and Virat Kohli was seen taking a quick trip off the field, spotted by the cameras near the Indian bench enjoying a chocolate bar.

India kicked off their match against Pakistan strong, taking down openers Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq early. However, skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel managed to stabilize things with a century partnership. Still, India kept the pressure on and quickly took three wickets, leaving Pakistan at 165-5 with just over 13 overs remaining.
