India's wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant made a heartwarming announcement on Wednesday, sharing that he will donate 10 percent of all his commercial earnings to the Rishabh Pant Foundation from now on. He believes this initiative will support both cricket-related and other important causes.

Taking to social media, Pant expressed his thoughts on his foundation and the motivation behind starting it.

“Everything I am and everything I have comes from the wonderful game of cricket. The life lessons I've learned through it have shaped me. I feel lucky and thankful to be where I am, especially after my accident a couple of years ago,” he shared. “I appreciate all the love, blessings, and support. One thing I've learned is to never give up and to always keep smiling with hope.

“My goal now is to spread more smiles, just like I try to do on the field. I've been reflecting on how to give back, and I think there's no better time than now. So, I’ll be committing 10 percent of my commercial income to the Rishabh Pant Foundation,” the 27-year-old added.

He also mentioned that more information about his 'RPF' project will be shared soon.

“The RPF is a project that means a lot to me, and the details are very personal. I’ll be revealing more about it in the next couple of months. I’m really excited and can’t wait to share more with you all! Thanks for your continued love and support,” he concluded.

Pant is getting ready for the Champions Trophy

The next major task for the Indian star is the Champions Trophy, and before that, the team will have a warm-up series at home against England. This series includes three matches starting Thursday at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur.

Pant is in the running for the main wicketkeeper-batter position in the playing XI, with KL Rahul as his only rival. It remains to be seen if India will stick with a left-handed batter in the middle order, continuing with Rahul, who filled that role during the 2023 ODI World Cup.
