There's a lot of buzz going around about whether the ICC Champions Trophy final could be the last ODI for some of India's cricket legends, particularly for veterans like Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja.

Even though there's been no official word from the players or the team, fans are speculating that Jadeja might be hanging up his boots after he was seen getting a heartfelt hug from Virat Kohli following his 10-over spell during the final in Dubai on Sunday.

Jadeja had a really tight and precise performance during the middle overs, completing his quota while giving away only 30 runs. He also snagged the crucial wicket of Tom Latham, which helped disrupt the developing partnership between Latham and Daryl Mitchell.

Fans caught a glimpse of Kohli sharing a hug with Steven Smith after their semifinal match, especially since Smith decided to step back from ODI cricket following that defeat. He was also spotted giving R Ashwin a warm embrace right before Ashwin surprised everyone with his retirement announcement during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

If this is really Jadeja's goodbye to the team, he'll wrap up his career with 231 wickets from 204 matches. After announcing his retirement from T20I cricket following last year's World Cup win, he's gradually stepping back after a solid run with the Indian national cricket team.

There's still some chatter about what will happen with Rohit and Kohli after this tournament and whether they'll aim for the 2027 ODI World Cup. At 36, Jadeja has been a key player for the Indian team for over 15 years, and his retirement marks a shift in the team's dynamics.

In the final, Jadeja played a supporting role to the incredible performances by Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav, who each took two wickets to keep New Zealand's scoring in check. Still, New Zealand managed to put up a decent fight, thanks to a quick half-century from Michael Bracewell, finishing with a total of 251.
