An unusual event transpired during the Pakistan Super League on Tuesday night during the match between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.

The incident revolved around young fast bowler Ubaid Shah, who not only transformed the match with an impressive bowling performance but also unintentionally drew the attention of fans on social media due to an accidental hit on his own teammate. The event occurred after Ubaid took the wicket of the formidable Sam Billings during Qalandars' daunting 226-run chase.

Filled with excitement, Ubaid turned around and jumped in celebration, inadvertently striking keeper Usman Khan on the head with an open hand. Usman, who was only wearing a cap and no helmet, appeared briefly stunned, raising immediate concern from the Multan team.

Fortunately, a swift medical assessment confirmed he was fit to continue, and his reassuring thumbs-up soon alleviated everyone's worries. The incident, which was recorded on camera, quickly went viral on social media, becoming one of the most discussed moments of the tournament.

Despite Ubaid's influence on the match was clear, as he took three wickets for 37 runs, leading the Sultans to a convincing 33-run victory in Multan. Earlier, Multan had set a formidable target of 229 runs, which proved too challenging for Lahore Qalandars, despite some moments of resistance.

Lahore began strongly, reaching 38 runs in the first four overs before the dismissal of Mohammad Naeem. Fakhar Zaman posed a threat with a rapid 32 runs off just 14 balls, but his exit disrupted their momentum. A brief partnership of 36 runs between Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell provided some stability, yet Multan retaliated, leaving Lahore struggling at 87 for 4. As the required run rate increased, Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza tried to orchestrate a comeback, but their efforts fell short.

Billings scored 43 runs off 23 balls, including four sixes and two fours, which gave the Qalandars a glimmer of hope, but his dismissal led to a decline in their chase. Raza's aggressive 50 runs off 27 balls was commendable, but ultimately insufficient, as Lahore concluded their innings at 195 for 9, falling 34 runs short. Consequently, Multan Sultans secured their first points of the season after enduring three consecutive defeats earlier in the tournament.
