Mohammed Siraj put an end to the dating rumors with Zanai Bhosle, Asha Bhosle's granddaughter, after a photo of them made the rounds on social media. The pic caught a lot of attention nationwide, with many speculating about a possible romance. However, Siraj quickly clarified their relationship. It was actually Zanai who kicked things off by sharing a story on Instagram, referring to Siraj as her brother and saying, "Mere pyaare bhai" (my dear brother). Siraj then shared her story too, calling her "behna."

He added, "Meri Behna Ke Jaisi Koi Behna Nahin. Bina Iske Kahin Bhi Mujhe Rehna Nahin. Jaise I lai Chaand Sitaaron Mein. Meri Behna Hai Ek Hazaaron Mein," showing just how much he values their bond.

Siraj, who didn't make it to the Champions Trophy squad, is gearing up for his next match in the Ranji Trophy with Hyderabad. He's already in training for the second-round game against Vidarbha, which will take place in Nagpur from January 30 to February 2.

He had a solid performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he played a key role alongside Jasprit Bumrah. By the end of the five-match series, he took 20 wickets with an average of 31.15, and his best bowling figures were 4/98.

A lot of people were surprised by his exclusion from the Champions Trophy squad since he's been one of the most reliable white-ball bowlers in the 50-over format over the last three years.

Rohit Sharma mentioned that Siraj's performance has dipped a bit

India's captain Rohit Sharma expressed that it was unfortunate for Siraj to miss the selection, noting that his effectiveness with the older ball played a role in the decision.

"Siraj's impact tends to drop a bit when he’s not taking the new ball. We talked about it a lot, and since we’re only taking three seamers to the CT, we wanted to include all the all-rounders," Rohit mentioned during the squad announcement press conference.

He indicated that the management had different strategies in mind, which didn’t quite align with Siraj's strengths.

"It’s a tough break for him to miss out, but we had to go with players who could fulfill specific roles," he added.
