MS Dhoni faced criticism from certain fans on social media for his lack of response regarding India's Champions Trophy victory. Upon arriving in Dehradun to attend the wedding of Rishabh Pant's sister, he was inundated with questions from reporters at the airport. One of the key inquiries pertained to India's triumph in the Champions Trophy. However, the esteemed cricketer simply waved his hand and declined to comment as he exited the airport.

Dhoni's choice to remain silent about the Champions Trophy win did not sit well with some fans, who accused the former captain of exhibiting insecurity and jealousy towards the current skipper, Rohit Sharma.

It is worth noting that Dhoni was not alone in avoiding questions about the Champions Trophy at the airport; India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, also chose to walk away without addressing any inquiries.

Rohit Sharma has now become the second Indian captain, following Dhoni, to secure multiple ICC trophies. He previously led the team to victory in the T20 World Cup last year and recently guided them to a win against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final on March 9, marking a 12-year gap since India's last title.

Interestingly, the last time India claimed the Champions Trophy was under Dhoni's captaincy in 2013. He remains the only captain globally to have won all three ICC white-ball tournaments, having led India to victory in the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013.

In contrast, Rohit Sharma boasts a significantly higher win percentage than any other captain in ODIs. He is the first Indian captain to secure two ICC trophies without suffering a single defeat. India emerged as unbeaten champions in both the 2024 T20 World Cup and the Champions Trophy. In the last three ICC tournaments, India has achieved 23 victories out of 24 matches, with their only loss occurring in the ODI World Cup final against Australia in 2023.

Numerous individuals from the cricket community gathered to celebrate the wedding held in the picturesque hill station. Several videos from the event gained popularity online, featuring MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Rishabh Pant joyfully dancing to the classic Bollywood track "Dama Dam Mast Kalandar."

In another video, Punjabi artist Harrdy Sandhu elevated the celebratory atmosphere with his lively performance, which Dhoni appeared to thoroughly enjoy.

Sakshi, Dhoni's wife, also posted several images from the pre-wedding celebrations.

Sakshi and Ankit became engaged last year after reportedly being in a relationship for nine years.
