Barcelona's young prodigy Lamine Yamal continues to captivate the football community with his remarkable talents at the tender age of 17. During the recent La Liga match against Deportivo Alaves, where Barcelona secured a victory, Yamal delivered yet another extraordinary performance. Although Robert Lewandowski netted the only goal of the match, it was Yamal who stole the spotlight.

In the fourth minute of the encounter, Yamal received the ball in his own half and skillfully maneuvered past six Alaves defenders before passing to Raphinha on the right flank, setting up an early opportunity. Although the Brazilian winger failed to convert, Yamal's dazzling run quickly became a sensation on social media. Following the viral clips of his performance, many began to draw comparisons between him and Barcelona's legendary eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, Lionel Messi, who was known for similar feats during his tenure at the club.

Additionally, Yamal played a crucial role in Lewandowski's goal later in the match, helping Barcelona close the gap in the points table behind leaders Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Having won the Golden Boy award last year, Yamal has already scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists this season, establishing himself as a key player in Barcelona's starting lineup at just 17 years of age.

Barcelona's manager, Hansi Flick, expressed his satisfaction with Yamal's contributions, noting his significant impact on the team's offensive play and his ability to create numerous scoring opportunities, including the setup for Lewandowski's goal.

"Lamine is a genius. What he accomplished today in certain situations is simply unbelievable. I am thrilled that he is part of Barça. It is fantastic," Flick remarked.

However, he was unequivocal in his stance regarding comparisons of Yamal to football greats like Messi and Maradona. "I am not a fan of that," Flick stated during a press conference when asked about the similarities between the two legends.

The Barcelona manager praised Yamal's ability to draw defenders and navigate through challenging situations with finesse.

At the age of 17, he is performing exceptionally well, and each match showcases his abilities. The opponents he faces are formidable, demonstrating strong defensive skills and an aggressive approach in their attempts to attack him. Nevertheless, he is managing admirably. I find it quite impressive, he remarked.
