Although the franchise has yet to secure an IPL title, its fanbase is unparalleled, and characterized by unwavering loyalty. Recently, Kuldeep Yadav, responding to a playful jab from an RCB supporter, cleverly highlighted the team's lack of an IPL championship.

Kuldeep Yadav, a passionate follower of Barcelona, participated in a YouTube podcast where he shared his insights on football and his enthusiasm for the game.

During the discussion, an RCB fan made a humorous remark directed at the prominent Indian spinner, suggesting that the franchise needed a goalkeeper and inviting Kuldeep to join the team.

In the live broadcast, a user identified as RCB management utilized the 'Super Chat' feature to comment, "Kuldeep bhai RCB me aa jao, ek goalkeeper ki jarurat hai." (Kuldeep bro, please join RCB; we need a goalkeeper).

In response, Kuldeep Yadav, who has been retained by Delhi Capitals for the IPL 2025 mega auction, delivered a witty retort: “Tumhe goalkeeper ki nahi, trophy ki jarurat hai mere bhai. Goalkeeper kya karoge?” (You don't need a goalkeeper. You need a trophy. What will you do with a goalkeeper?).

RCB approached the pinnacle of success in the IPL during the 2016 season, ultimately falling short against SunRisers Hyderabad in the final match. In recent years, the franchise has consistently reached the playoffs; however, the coveted title continues to evade them. As for IPL 2025, RCB has not yet announced their captain, but reports suggest that Virat Kohli is expected to take on the leadership role.

Kuldeep Yadav returns to India's ODI squad

The left-arm spinner has recently been included in India's roster for the forthcoming three One Day Internationals against England, as well as the Champions Trophy.

Since undergoing hernia surgery in November 2024, the spinner has not participated in any competitive matches. He has been gradually increasing his bowling workload at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) located in Bengaluru.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Kuldeep Yadav is reportedly bowling 10 to 12 overs at a time. It remains to be seen how he performs in the ODI series against England, which is set to commence on February 6.
