Bengaluru Open has undoubtedly established itself as a prominent brand. Numerous corporations and local communities are now familiar with the event and eagerly anticipate its occurrence. We have experienced instances where companies have proactively expressed their desire to collaborate with us, which we consider a significant accomplishment. The support from the Karnataka government has been invaluable; however, our efforts in securing sponsors have also been commendable. Several sponsors have remained with us throughout all nine editions, while others have joined us in the past three to four years. This year, we are pleased to welcome a few new sponsors as well. Our ongoing communication with potential sponsors, inviting them to observe the event, has fostered a growing interest within the corporate sector towards the Bengaluru Open.
Regarding Nagal, we had discussions with him, and he made a professional choice to compete in South America on clay courts, a decision we fully respect. He achieved his first professional tournament victory in Bengaluru in 2017 and subsequently won in Chennai two years ago, indicating that these tournaments have positively impacted his career. However, it is understandable that he wishes to focus on clay surfaces. As for Sriram Balaji and Bollipalli, their high rankings render participation in Challenger events unnecessary, as they are capable of entering the main draws of ATP tour events.
The attendance at our events has consistently been strong. Bengaluru is renowned for its sporting culture, and we have been fortunate to attract a respectable number of spectators. On average, we have seen between 750 to 2,000 attendees watching matches throughout the day, which is commendable compared to other cities in the country.
Will Rishabh Pant play against Australia?
Concerns regarding Rohit's fitness prior to the match against New Zealand led to discussions about the potential inclusion of Rishabh Pant in the playing XI. Nevertheless, India opted to maintain their batting order for the final Group A match of the 2025 Champions Trophy.
The dialogue among fans reignited following Rahul's performance of 23 runs off 29 balls against New Zealand. However, it appears unlikely that India will implement this change for the semifinal against Australia on Tuesday in Dubai, particularly with Axar Patel fulfilling the crucial role of a left-handed batsman in the middle order. On Sunday, the all-rounder contributed significantly with a score of 42 runs off 61 balls, forming a match-winning partnership of 98 runs with Shreyas Iyer.
