The team led by Axar Patel successfully chased down a target of 164 runs with 13 balls remaining. Throughout much of the Delhi Capitals' innings, RCB appeared to have a chance at victory. However, KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs shifted the momentum decisively in favor of the visitors towards the end.

Virat Kohli expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the final overs unfolded. During the 15th over, bowled by Suyash Sharma, Kohli was seen engaged in a fervent discussion with Dinesh Karthik along the boundary.

Kohli appeared to be signaling to the RCB batting coach, likely indicating his concerns regarding the field placements set by captain Rajat Patidar or the bowlers' inability to contain runs. This exchange occurred shortly after Josh Hazlewood allowed 22 runs in the 15th over.

Aakash Chopra commented during the Hindi broadcast, “This is a lively discussion with coach Dinesh Karthik. He needs to relay this to captain Rajat Patidar on the field. While Virat Kohli can converse with Dinesh Karthik, it is essential for him to communicate with Patidar as well.”

Virender Sehwag added, “I believe Virat Kohli is referring to the last over where Josh Hazlewood gave away 22 runs.”

It is noteworthy that when Hazlewood conceded those runs, the cameras captured Kohli's frustrated expression, revealing his discontent with the execution of the bowling strategy.

The introduction of Liam Livingstone into the bowling lineup revitalized Delhi Capitals' chances, alleviating some pressure despite the visitors being in a precarious position at 58/4 at one point.

KL Rahul puts on a masterclass

Right-handed KL Rahul, who batted at No. 4, delivered an impressive unbeaten innings of 93 runs off 53 balls, leading the Delhi Capitals to successfully chase down a target of 164. He partnered with Tristan Stubbs in an unbroken fifth-wicket partnership of 111 runs, ensuring a comfortable victory for the visitors. Stubbs also contributed significantly, remaining not out with 38 runs from 23 balls.

Earlier in the match, RCB set a total of 163 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted twenty overs. The home team appeared poised for a substantial score, but the run-out of Phil Salt (37) in the fourth over shifted the momentum of the game.

Virat Kohli (22), Rajat Patidar (25), and Liam Livingstone (4) struggled to make significant contributions, which hindered RCB's ability to reach a competitive total. It was Tim David's unbeaten innings of 37 runs off 20 balls that helped RCB surpass the 160-run mark.

Currently, RCB occupies the third position in the points table, having accumulated 6 points from 5 matches. Their next challenge will be against the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
