In a match dominated by a formidable Australian batting lineup, Rhodes emerged as a standout performer, even as Shane Watson took center stage. The former Australian all-rounder, having recently scored a century against India, replicated his success against South Africa, leading his team to an impressive total of 260 runs. Yet, amidst the barrage of boundaries and sixes, it was Rhodes’ exceptional fielding that captivated the audience.

On the third ball of the 19th over, Watson struck a powerful drive straight down the ground, seemingly on course for the boundary. Positioned at long-off, Rhodes had different plans.

In an instant, he dashed to his right, covering an impressive distance before executing a full-stretch dive. With perfect timing, he managed to get a solid grip on the ball, preventing it from crossing the boundary line.

In pursuit of 261 runs, South Africa's batting order faltered, resulting in their dismissal for a mere 123 runs. This victory marked Australia's second consecutive win in the tournament, as Watson's team began to recover in the points standings after a winless start in their initial two matches.
