India is set to visit Australia later this year for a series consisting of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Cricket Australia revealed an exciting schedule on Sunday, covering the period from August 2025 to March 2026. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team will engage in five T20Is in Australia during November, which will serve as a crucial preparation for the T20 World Cup scheduled for next year in India and Sri Lanka.
Prior to the T20I series, India and Australia will compete in three ODIs, commencing on October 19, with matches taking place in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.
The T20I series will kick off at Manuka Oval in Canberra and will feature the Indian men’s team’s inaugural match on the Gold Coast.
The five T20I matches will be held in various locations, including Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, and Brisbane.
Additionally, the Indian women's team will tour Australia for a multi-format series that includes three T20Is, three ODIs, and one Test match. The Test will be a day-night event held in Perth.
Australia's home international season will commence on August 10, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs against South Africa.
In addition to the series against India, the Australian men's cricket schedule is highlighted by the Ashes, which will begin on November 21. This five-match Ashes series between Australia and England will take place in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Todd Greenberg, CEO of Cricket Australia, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, “We are excited to announce the schedule for what will be another incredible international season, including the grand history and intense rivalry of the Ashes, the fantastic box office appeal of the India men's and women’s teams, and a return to some iconic tourist locations in northern Australia for the white ball series against South Africa."
He further added, “We look forward to bringing international cricket to fans across the country, with 11 cities and 14 venues hosting matches throughout the season, including matches in every state and territory capital city for the first time in 17 years."
