IND: 14/1 (9), trail by 245 runs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Back of a length delivery by O'Rourke, outside off. Gill cuts it through point for a four! Then it is a dot, followed by a single. The over ends with three dots. Jaiswal (1*) and Gill (8*) will look to play it safe here.

IND: 9/1 (6), trail by 250 runs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: OUTT! CRACKING DELIVERY! A good length delivery by Southee, around middle and off. Rohit tries to defend, but is totally squared up, and it hits the off stump!

Rohit b Southee 0 (9)

IND: 1/1 (3), trail by 258 runs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: A good length delivery by Southee, outside off, Jaiswal leaves it alone. It ends up as a maiden over as Southee keeps it tight to begin with!

IND: 0/0 (1), trail by 259 runs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Jaiswal and Rohit are on the pitch to begin the innings for India. Southee will start with the ball for New Zealand.

NZ: 259/9 (79.1)

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: A flat length delivery by Sundar, Santner tries to defend, but misses, and it hits the off stump!

Sundar 33 (51)

NZ: 259/9 (79.1)

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Ashwin tosses it up, on off. Santner slams it down the ground for a six! Then it is followed by two dots and a single to keep strike.

NZ: 259/9 (79)

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: WICKET NO. 6 FOR SUNDAR! NZ ARE 9 DOWN! A flat delivery by Sundar, and Ajaz tries to defend, but inside edges it back to the stumps! OUT!

Ajaz b Sundar 4 (9)

NZ: 252/9 (78)

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: An arm delivery by Sundar, from round the wicket. It beats Southee's outside edge, and hits the stumps! OUT! Five-wicket haul for Sundar!

Southee b Sundar 5 (8)

NZ: 242/8 (75.1)

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Jadeja has looked out of rhythm today and so he has been taken off, Ashwin comes back in. He already had three wickets today, having bowled for almost the entirety of the first session. Santner on strike on 21 off as many, Phillips at the other end living a little dangerously on seven off 23.

New Zealand 232/6 in 70 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Santner counter-attacking Sundar in that over. He gets an inside edge off the first ball after which he comes down the track for both of the next two deliveries to defend. Sundar flights up the fourth ball, Santner comes down again and launches it over mid-off for a six. Then Sundar oversteps last ball, bowls a shortish slow one and Santner punches it past point for a four. He has raced to 15 off 13, Phillips on two off seven.

New Zealand 221/6 in 66 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Big appeal for LBW turned down, Sundar quite calmly tells Rohit to take the review and it is three reds. The batter had come forward to the off spinner and so the umpire gave it not out, as is normally the case. But this is one of those rare deliveries that pitches in line and still shows hitting on the wickets. Quite sensational this. Everything Sundar is touching is turning into gold at the moment.

Mitchell lbw b Washington Sundar 18 (54)

New Zealand 204/6 in 63.3 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Turning out to be a very interesting day of Test cricket. Jadeja has the ball in his hands, he will bowl the 63rd over of this innings. Daryl Mitchell on strike on 16 off 49, Glenn Phillips is the new man in.

New Zealand 201/5 in 62 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: There were questions over whether picking Washington Sundar over Kuldeep Yadav was the right call. Well, he has repaid the faith shown in him towards the end of that session. He got Ravindra out with just the most unplayable delivery, and then got Blundell with another very good ball. New Zealand were absolutely bossing this session until Ravindra's wicket fell. Blundell's wicket was a cherry on top for India.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Well there you go, that is why he is in the squad. Good length delivery for the last ball of the session, Blundell steps forward trying to work it through the offside but the ball turns in, goes between bat and body and takes the stumps. An excellent end to the session for India, they have probably got their noses in front because of it.

Blundell b Washington Sundar 3 (12)

New Zealand 201/5 in 62 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: RACHIN RAVINDRA HAS BEEN DISMISSED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THIS SERIES! Washington Sundar with an absolute beauty to do something no other bowler has managed to do thus far. An inspired bowling change from Rohit, he brings Sundar in for the 60th over. Fires a quick one wide of the crease and Ravindra comes forward to defend. But it turns away from him, past his outside edge and hits his off stump. Unplayable.

Ravindra b Washington Sundar 65 (105)

New Zealand 197/3 in 59 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Goes past 50 runs in an innings for a second consecutive Test. He had scored a century in the first innings of the first Test, an unbeaten 39 that surely would've gone on to be at least a half-century had there been that many runs to score in the second innings, and now he moves to 55 off 94 balls at the end of the 56th over.

Akash Deep bowls that over, length delivery on Ravindra's pads fourth ball, the batter flicks it emphatically through midwicket for a four and that moves him to 49. Whips the fifth ball as well, this time it just about evades Shubman Gill at short midwicket but there was just too much power in that shot for that to be called a proper chance. That goes to the boundary as well and Ravindra gets his half-century. Two runs off the last ball and Ravindra is on 55 off 94, Mitchell on 14 off 36.

New Zealand 185/3 in 56 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Well that would've been just the most incredible catch from Sarfaraz had he pulled it off. Fifth ball of the 55th is quick on middle and leg by Jadeja, Ravindra comes down and works it off his leg. Sarfaraz standing short leg moves with the batter and the ball goes right in between his legs. It evaded his hands by a few milliseconds. Incredible anticipation from Sarfaraz.

New Zealand 174/3 in 55 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Jadeja tosses up the first ball of the 49th, Ravindra dances down the track and sends the ball soaring over long on. Very quick feet from Ravindra and gets under the ball perfectly. Rohit Sharma moves the short leg fielder to mid on after the second ball, only for Ravindra to send the third to that empty short leg zone. That was a catch if that fielder was still there. Ravindra runs two runs off the second last ball, he is on 35 off 73 balls, Mitchell is on five off 15.

New Zealand 156/3 in 49 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: An extended drinks break in the second session, it is a warm and humid afternoon and the players are getting some fluids into their bodies. That wicket of Conway seems to have given India a skip in their steps. Getting a wicket continues to be hard work though. Ravindra will be on strike when play resumes, Ashwin to bowl the 48th over. Ravindra is on 25 off 63 balls, Mitchell on four off 13.

New Zealand: 145/3 in 47 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Big shout for LBW off the fifth ball against the sweep-happy Daryl Mitchell, umpire shakes his head and the Indians don't take a review. Just as well they didn't it was all bat there. Two runs in that over from Jadeja and India are looking to target Mitchell's tendency to sweep. Ravindra at the other end on 24 off 61.

New Zealand 142/3 in 45 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Conway with a lazy waft at a ball that drifts away from him, Pant takes the catch. India get a wicket at last in this session. It turned away from Conway from a good length outside off, the batter pushes at it but isn't close to the line.

Conway c Pant b Ashwin 76 (141)

New Zealand 138/3 in 43.2 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Murali Kartik is tearing into India's tactics in the commentary box, fielding and bowling, particularly from the spinners. He says that India have been just too defensive. The spinners' pace has been a bit too much, the ball coming on to the bat very nicely. There has been absolutely no jeopardy whatsoever for New Zealand to deal with in the first half an hour of this second session.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: It's Washington Sundar bowling from the other end for India. The Indians at the moment look quite far away from getting wickets, which is very, very strange. Ravindra takes a single off the fifth ball of the 37th over by Washington Sundar, it takes him to 15 off 36, Conway on 60 off 121.

New Zealand 115/2 in 37 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Conway was jittery to say the last on the last day of the first Test and in the early exchanges today. Well he now seems to be reading Bumrah like a well written book at the moment. Bumrah goes short of a length fourth ball, Conway punches it off the backfoot between point and cover for a four. He then goes past point on the other side next ball for another four. Then a big shout for LBW from Bumrah and the Indians last ball, umpire shakes his head and the hosts don't challenge him.

Conway is on 59 off 114, Ravindra on five off 13.

New Zealand 104/2 in 32 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: A lovely cover drive off the very first ball of the session, the ball goes to the boundary and there is a very authoritative half-century indeed from Devon Conway. Conway has reached 53 in 109 balls as he sends that ball careening between mid-off and cover.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Jasprit Bumrah to bowl the first over after Lunch. Devon Conway facing up with Rachin Ravindra at the other end. Conway is three runs away from his half-century.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Whether India would've got more wickets had they set up more attacking fields or not is something that can never be said for sure. But an Indian team pushing fielders back in the first session of a Test match with the pitch giving spinners a lot of purchase was quite strange indeed. It probably had a big part to play in the batters being able to rotate strike quite easily in this session. India have generally been an ultra-attacking team under Rohit Sharma, wonder if Gautam Gambhir had something to do with this change of tactic.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Conway finishes that session on 47 off 111 balls, Rachin Ravindra on five off 10. Washington Sundar bowled the last over of the session, big appeal for LBW off the last ball but to no avail.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Just a run off the 29th over by Jadeja. Ashwin continues from the other end for his 12th over. He has pretty much continuously bowled since the first half an hour of this session. Figures of 2/30 thus far. Jadeja just got done with his fifth over.

New Zealand 88/2 in 29 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: A good review followed by a poor one the very next ball. Huge appeal for LBW against Conway off the first ball of the 25th over by Jade. The umpire says no. Jadeja, as usual, is utterly convinced, Rohit has a long with Pant who doesn't seem sure. In the end, Rohit takes the review. Just as he motioned though, Kohli had joined the huddle and seemed to have started to tell Rohit to not do it. With good reason. That was missing leg stump by a kilometre. Three singles in the rest of the over, Conway on 40 off 82, Rachin Ravindra at the other end on one off two.

New Zealand 79/2 in 25 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Oh that's gone and Sarfaraz Khan convinces Rohit to go upstairs and rightly so. Ashwin floats the last ball of the 24th down the leg side, Young tries to work it away but can't quite find the connection. Sarfaraz almost the only person who heard the ball grazing the glove and short leg and Rohit reviews. Turns out that Sarfaraz was right.

Young c Pant b Ashwin 18 (45)

New Zealand 76/2 in 24 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Rohit Sharma hands the ball to Ravindra Jadeja in the 21st over of the innings. It's all become a bit too stale for India's liking, New Zealand haven't been troubled at all since the drinks break. Now Jadeja has this tendency of shaking things up early in his spells, can he do something here? Conway is on 31 off 67 balls, Young on 15 off 32 balls.

New Zealand 64/1 in 20 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Well it remains to be seen what India is intending here but on the surface of it, we are seeing some strangely defensive field placements by Rohit Sharma. Both long on and long off are back close to the boundary, another close to the boundary at deep square leg in the 18th over by Ashwin. We are just over the halfway mark of the first session, remember. Conway and Young looking absolutely assured now, knocking off singles whenever they feel like it. Conway on 29 off 60, Young on 11 off 27.

New Zealand 56/1 in 18 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Conway with a single off the first ball of the 16th bowled by Ashwin and that takes New Zealand to 50 runs. Young with another single and Conway takes one off the last over to keep strike. He is on 27 off 50, Young on nine off 25.

New Zealand 52/1 in 16 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: A very good session all in all thus far for New Zealand. They have lost just one wicket and the batters in the middle seem to have settled themselves against Ashwin and Sundar. They have reached 49 with their run rate a shade under 4 an over.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Ashwin goes short and wide despite having a leg-side field fifth ball of the 12th, Young takes the gift and cuts it to the boundary. Conway takes a single off the first ball of the next over from Sundar and Young sees the rest of it away without too much trouble. Conway on 21 off 39, young on eight off 18.

New Zealand 45/1 in 13 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: It has suddenly become a different kind of a match. This pitch is perfect for spinners, India have reverted to their strengths to try and win this Test. Conway and Will Young are doing the right thing though. They have given themselves time, not gone for anything extravagant in the 10th and 11th overs from Ashwin and Sundar respectively. Conway on 20 off 38, Young on two off seven.

New Zealand 38/1 in 11 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Off-spin from both ends, Bumrah's spell is done. Washington Sundar to bowl in a Test match for the first time since March 2021.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: He had a poor match in Bengaluru, now Ashwin gets India the breakthrough in his very first over. Latham doesn't bother with the review, he is gone for all money. Latham drawn forward, the line is on middle and leg. It strikes him on the pads and the Indians appeal. Umpire raises his finger. Hit Latham right in front and he probably knew he had no edge on it.

Latham lbw b Ashwin 15 (22)

New Zealand 32/1

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: 7 runs off the 7th over from Bumrah, it was his fourth over. Wonder if he will bowl another. What is fore sure is that Akash Deep's spell is done, Ravichandran Ashwin replaces him in the eighth over to bowl the first over of spin. There hasn't been too much trouble for Latham and Conway, these are good batting conditions but the spinners could stand a better chance at winning this. Conway on 15 off 25, Latham on 14 off 18.

New Zealand 30/0 in 7 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Deep goes a bit too full fourth ball, Conway drives it beautifully through mid-off for four. Takes a single next ball and then too full again for the last. Latham clips it between mid-on and midwicket. Bumrah continues for his third over now. Latham is on 12 off 15, Conway on five off 10. He had bowled a maiden previous over.

New Zealand 18/0 in 4 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Typical to the early exchanges of a Test match really. Latham lets the first ball from Deep go, the pacer makes the batter play the second ball. It holds its line, takes the outside edge and it runs between the slips and gully to the boundary. The third ball is also edged, it goes to gully but doesn't carry. No runs after that. Now Conway will face Bumrah for the first time. He was all at sea on the last day of that first Test against the ace India pacer.

New Zealand 7/0 in 2 overs

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Latham runs two off the third ball of the over and then a single off the last. A quiet start in that first over, no big runs for the batter, not many chances for the bowler either. Akash Deep to share the new ball.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: All right, time for some Test cricket! Jasprit Bumrah has the ball in his hands, Tom Latham is on strike, Devon Conway at the other end. Sunil Gavaskar says in the commentary box that the three changes India made shows that there is some panic in the home camp.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Now, while we call this the Pune Test, those living in the city, and even those living in Mumbai, would tell you that this stadium is quite far away from the main city. Situated right at the entrance to the Mumbai-Pune express highway in Gahunje, the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is among the newest Test venues in India, with the first match being played in February 2017. In fact, this is just the third Test to be played there. India lost the first-ever Test here to Australia by a whopping 333 runs in February 2017. They then blasted South Africa out of the park when they returned to this stadium, winning by innings and 137 runs in October 2019.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Now he may not be very high up in the pecking order for a spot in the Test team but whenever he has got a chance Sundar has been quite sensational with bat more than the ball for India. He was an integral part of India's stunning victory in the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy and then played an important role in India coming back from 1-0 down against England at home the next year.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Tom Latham says that the ace fast bowler has a problem with his glute, Mitchell Santner replaces him.

New Zealand XI: Tom Latham(c), Devon Conway, Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell(w), Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ajaz Patel, William ORourke

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: We haven't seen the Indian team making changes to this extent between Tests for a while now. Shows just how different this pitch is from the one that was there in Bengaluru. And yet, India have stuck to two pacers, albeit the second fast bowler being Akash Deep and not Mohammed Siraj. Washington Sundar being included ahead of Kuldeep Yadav is a bit of a surprise, wonder if the former's skills with the bat had a role to play.

India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma(c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant(w), Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Tom Latham has won the toss and New Zealand are batting first.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: All right, Rohit Sharma and Tom Latham have walked out in their Test blazers, team sheets in hand. India have thrown a bit of a googly during warm-up with both Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah marking their run-ups. Mitchell Santner is warming up and so the visitors are going for an extra spinner.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Dinesh Karthik and Simon Doull have said that this pitch will be helping the the spinners. On a good length area, it's a lot more dry and a lot more devoid of grass. The team winning the toss should bat first, and there will be enough assistance for spinners from ball one.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: KL Rahul is 19 runs away from the 3000 mark in Test cricket. If he does get there today, he will have the third lowest average among all batters to have scored at least 30000 runs since his debut. Only Mominul Haque and Kraigg Brathwaite have lower averages than Rahul's current figure of 33.87.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: This stretch of home matches that India are playing was supposed to be the phase where they would all but lock in a spot for themselves in the WTC final next year. However, Rohit Sharma himself admitted that they misread the conditions. India's batters did no favours for their side by gifting their wickets in both innings. At the same time, they showed just how good a side they are at home when they managed to take the match into a fifth day and even looked to have a chance of winning at various points in the match despite being all out for a mere 46 runs in the first innings.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: We mentioned Shubman Gill returning to the squad in that previous post. It is all but officially confirmed that he is available for selection in this match. Gill had a regular workload in the nets leading up to the second Test and that normally is an indication of full fitness.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: One of the reasons why KL Rahul's spot is on shaky grounds despite the fact that he has got a fairly good recent record, despite the failure in the first Test, is because Shubman Gill is returning. He will slot right back into No.3, allowing Kohli to return to No.4 and Sarfaraz Khan at No.5. Now dropping Sarfaraz would be really difficult for the team management considering what he did in the first Test and if they go with a fourth spinner in Washington Sundar, the only person who can be dropped is Rahul really.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: We haven't had a look at the pitch yet today but there have been intermittent rains coupled with hot afternoons in Pune. About two days ago, the pitch looked dry and there had been some work going on to remove the grass on it.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: The talismanic former New Zealand captain is unavailable for the Kiwis for the second Test as well. Williamson hasn't even travelled to India after suffering the injury during the tour of Sri Lanka last month, and will remain at home to continue his rehabilitation. He is recovering from a ground strain.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: ...Virat Kohli scored a career-best 254 not out. It was the second Test against South Africa and India had batted first. Captain Kohli played 336 balls on his way to 254 and, a little surprisingly for everyone watching, declared when he looked good enough to reach a triple century. There was ample time left in the match for India to bowl out South Africa twice if he had stuck around to achieve that milestone. Instead, he decided to end the innings when Ravindra Jadeja fell for 91. Ravichandran Ashwin then took four wickets as South Arica were all out for 275 in their first innings after which 3-wicket hauls from Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja dismissed the Proteas for 189. India won by an innings and 137 runs.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal don't shy away from hitting a six or two in Test matches. This fact is reflected in the numbers. Yashasvi Jaiswal is four sixes away from equalling the most sixes in a calendar year in Tests while Rohit Sharma is two sixes away from equalling the all-time India record for most sixes in Test cricket

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: There were early reports of a slow turner being produced in Pune, which is something that India have done before whenever they lost the first Test at home. Now if Washington Sundar has been brought in with the intention of packing four spinners in the lineup, with three of them being genuine all-rounders, then it does look like KL Rahul will be sitting this one out. What makes a decision to drop Rahul unlikely, though, is the fact that India are playing in Australia next and the 32-year-old's away record in Test cricket makes him a potentially important cog in the team's plans for that tour.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: While India's current dominance at home in Test cricket is unprecedented, they have lost the first match of a series surprisingly frequently. They lost the first Test of their series against England earlier this year, before bouncing back to win 4-1. They also lost their first Test of the 2020/21 series against England in Chennai before winning that series 3-1. Before that, they had lost the first Test of the 2017 series against Australia and that happened, incidentally, in Pune.

It is interesting to note, though, that one has to go back seven years to find out an instance of India losing the first Test of a series before Pune 2017. That was against South Africa in the drawn 2009/10 series in which the visitors had won in Nagpur. Even more noteworthy is the fact that before the loss to New Zealand in Bengaluru, South Africa were the only team apart from England and Australia to have won the first Test of a series in India in this century. It is a testament to how strong India are, how strong that great South African team led by Graeme Smith was in the late 2000s and early 2010s and just how unimaginably huge an achievement the win in Bengaluru is for New Zealand.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: First things first; the weather had a huge role to play in the last two Tests that India played - against New Zealand in Bengaluru and Bangladesh in Kanpur before that. Well, we might just have a match entirely uninterrupted by the weather for once. Pune has received rainfall in the last week or so, but chances of showers during the Test itself are minuscule. If anything, the players may have to deal with the infamous October heat that is so prevalent in Pune and Mumbai.

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Tom Latham(c), Devon Conway, Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell(w), Glenn Phillips, Matt Henry, Tim Southee, Ajaz Patel, William ORourke, Kane Williamson, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Mark Chapman, Jacob Duffy

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma(c), Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant(w), KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurel

India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test Day 1: Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the second Test of the series in Pune! India faced a shocking defeat to the Kiwis in the first Test, as Rohit Sharma's men were bowled out for just 46 in the first innings. Even as they made a gritty fightback by putting 462 on the board in the second innings, the damage was done as New Zealand clinched an eight-wicket win.
