India achieved their highest total in Women's One Day Internationals in consecutive matches as Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana relentlessly targeted the Ireland bowlers during the third and final ODI in Rajkot. Just days after posting 370/3, their highest score in Women's ODIs, the Mandhana-led team amassed 435/5 in the concluding match of the series at the same venue against Ireland. This total marks India's highest in ODIs, encompassing both women's and men's cricket and ranks as the fourth-highest in the history of Women's ODIs. The top three scores in Women's ODIs are held by New Zealand. Furthermore, India became only the third team, following New Zealand and Australia, to surpass the 400-run threshold in Women's ODI history.

Choosing to bat first, Indian openers Mandhana and Pratika Rawal displayed a formidable performance against the struggling Ireland bowling attack. Mandhana achieved the fastest century by an Indian woman, reaching this milestone in a mere 70 balls. She struck seven sixes, tying the record for the most by an Indian in Women's ODIs, and matched Harmanpreet Kaur's record of 52 sixes, the highest by an Indian in women's ODIs.

She also became the first Indian woman to hit 10 ODI centuries and climbed to the third spot in the all-time list behind Meg Lanning (15) and Suzie Bates (13).

Pratika Rawal hits maiden ODI century

Mandhana's explosive innings, marking her fifth century in this format since the beginning of 2024, concluded when she attempted a lap shot against Orla Prendergast and was caught at fine leg. She amassed a total of 135 runs from just 80 deliveries, achieving a strike rate of 168.75.

The opening partnership of 233 runs between Mandhana and Pratika stands as India's third-highest for any wicket in Women's ODIs. This partnership also marked the fourth-century stand for Mandhana and Pratika in just five innings of Women's ODIs.

Mandhana's dismissal did not affect Pratika's performance, as she transitioned from scoring three half-centuries in her initial five ODIs to securing her first century on Wednesday, reaching the milestone off 100 balls.

The young right-handed batswoman not only achieved her maiden ODI century but also transformed it into a substantial score, concluding her innings with 154 runs off 129 balls, which included 20 fours and a six.

Richa Ghosh, batting at No. 3, also contributed significantly with a brisk innings of 59 runs from 42 balls.
