Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah will remain with the club after signing a contract extension. For several months, there had been speculation regarding his potential departure, especially as Liverpool is a strong contender for the Premier League title in the 2024-25 season. However, those rumors were put to rest on Friday when Liverpool officially confirmed Salah's commitment to the team.

Salah's new agreement ensures his presence at Liverpool beyond the 2024-25 season. Since his arrival from AS Roma in 2017, he has established himself as a legendary figure at the club.

During the 2024-25 season, Salah has enjoyed an impressive performance, netting 32 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions, with 27 of those goals scored in the Premier League.

In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Salah has also provided 22 assists for his teammates this season.

Salah, aged 32, has netted a total of 243 goals for Liverpool in 394 matches across all competitions, making him the club's third-highest all-time scorer.

“I am certainly very enthusiastic. We have an excellent team now. Previously, we also had a strong squad. However, I committed to the club because I believe we have the potential to secure more trophies and truly enjoy my football,” Salah expressed on Liverpool's official website.

“It’s wonderful; I have experienced my best years here. I have played for eight years, and I hope to extend that to ten. I am relishing my life here and enjoying my football. These have been the most rewarding years of my career,” he continued.

Salah, a key player for Liverpool, played a pivotal role in the club's Champions League victory in 2019 and contributed to their first Premier League title during the 2019-20 season.

Throughout his tenure at Anfield, he has also claimed the FA Cup, two League Cups, the Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.

He has been honored as Player of the Year on two occasions by both his peers and football journalists.

Currently, Salah ranks joint-fifth in the all-time Premier League goal-scoring list, with a total of 184 goals.
