Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered an outstanding bowling performance at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, inflicting another devastating defeat on Rajasthan Royals, with Josh Hazlewood emerging as the standout performer as he gave away just 7 runs and claimed three wickets during the 17th and 19th overs. Hazlewood, who ended the match with a four-wicket haul, took the crucial wickets of Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel, with the Jurel wicket being particularly significant as the wicketkeeper appeared to be in excellent form.

With RR requiring 17 runs from 10 balls, Hazlewood executed a perfectly placed wide yorker, which initially seemed like an innocuous dot ball. However, sensing an edge, the RCB team opted to review the decision, which confirmed that Jurel had indeed edged the ball after it pitched, making Jitesh Sharma’s catch behind the stumps a legitimate one.

In a video segment for IPLT20. com, Hazlewood recounted the situation in a dialogue with Krunal Pandya. “Tell me about the DRS, what happened in that. I know it was you in fact who insisted to go for the DRS, and it worked for us,” Krunal inquired of the Australian player.
