Kashvee Gautam experienced a moment of fulfillment when she encountered her idol, Hardik Pandya, during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Eliminator at Brabourne Stadium. The medium pacer for the Gujarat Giants had the chance to engage in a heartfelt conversation with Hardik, which has since gained widespread attention.
Hardik, the captain of the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, attended the match alongside his teammates to observe the intense competition between the Mumbai Indians and the Gujarat Giants. During his time at the stadium, he shared a warm exchange with the young bowler, which left her elated.
“I’m a big fan, Sir,” Kashvee expressed upon their meeting. Hardik responded with, “Sab badhiya? (All good?)” to which she enthusiastically replied, “Ji haan bahut badhiya. (Yes, all good).”
The dialogue soon shifted to cricket, with Hardik inquiring about her experience in the WPL season. “Kaisa raha season? (How was your season?)” he asked. Kashvee beamed as she answered, “Bahut acha thha. (Pretty good).”
At that moment, Harleen Deol from the Gujarat Giants joined the conversation, informing Hardik that she not only admired him but also frequently imitated him.
“Tum batting bhi karti ho? (You do batting as well?)” Hardik queried. “Haan, batting bhi karti hu (Yes),” Kashvee confidently replied.
Deol then added humorously, “HP33 likhwaya hai bat pe (She has got HP33 written on her bat),” revealing that Kashvee had Pandya’s initials inscribed on her bat, which brought a broad smile to the star all-rounder’s face.
The conversation delved deeper into technical details as Hardik Pandya asked about the weight of her bat. Kashvee responded, “1100.” Impressed by her commitment, Pandya kindly offered, “Main shred karke bhijwata hu. (I will shred it and send it to you) Nice to meet you. Good luck.”
Filled with joy, Kashvee was embraced by her teammates following this memorable interaction.
